Fir Chilis is the name given to the dense string of forested land that fills much of Blossom Forest. There are two different populations, depending on where in the land you are. To the north lays the deciduous forest, full of maples, oaks, birches, and beeches. To the south lay a coniferous forest full of pines and firs. No matter where you are, the trees shelter you from the sun and the rain and the snow. Take care not to get lost in the woods however - you may never find your way out. There are other dangerous here too - predators waiting for their own prey. While the land is prosperous they do not pose too much of a threat, but whenever famine or drought hits, they will attack anything... even other Putnar.

Those looking to hunt will find the forests well stocked - there are white-tailed deer, turkeys, red squirrels, chipmunks, mermots, and moose.

A Lily No Longer

It was a flawless plan. The main problem was that Ameira was not a willing participant in the games. Always she was searching for something more, trekking dangerously close to the strict rules that governed their carefully construed plans. Always she was being reprimanded for looking to the outside or questioning the rules of the vargs ruling over her. She was not content to be merely a beautiful gifts of the gods, and often voiced such opinions. She was sharply told to remain quiet and polite – only once she was properly betrothed should she talk in public. So, when she was told of the plans to marry her off to a random lord, Ameira was appalled. A paw struck her face, silencing her, and reminding her of her place.

Thus, all the lairds were summoned, and each pack sent their Prince and their King, along with servants and such, leaving their Betas to rule in their stead. One by one, they presented themselves to the Lily and her family, before settling in. Training began soon after, with each Prince training with their father and their mentors from dawn until dusk. That alone took a month of time in order to ensure that they all felt prepared, and then they were randomly pitted against each other one by one, until the top few candidates were found out. Many of the lesser packs who had been knocked out of the fight left to return to their lands, but there were still many packs that stayed to revel in the festivities and to see first hand who the Lily would be passed to.

For every night until this matter was decided, a large banquet was put on for the lairds and their families to present the Lily, partly to ensure her ongoing virginity, and partly to prevent the packs from fighting amongst themselves in the secret darkness of the night.

As it had been throughout the entirety of their conversation, Ameira was once more astounded by the differences that this land offered in comparison to her own. Princess, I’ve seen no such thing. Wolves here pick for love. Fea’s are not pawns or chips for games of hierarchy. Queens are just as powerful as the King. Some ladies even rule by themselves. It was a life and a world that she could not imagine – one in which she did not have to be a ‘pretty’ thing to look at… one in which she was not merely the pawn of a laird to be passed around without any say in the matter herself. One in which she could actually have power over her own wishes and desires.

The brute’s head dipped lower and her lavender’s watched as he drank from the water and almost by instinct she followed lead, enjoying the fresh, cool liquid sweeping down her throat, saiting her. Princess, It’s a different world here in Blossom Forest. I think you’ll find yourself quiet at home among its residents. But I must warn you, there are wolves here who do not bind themselves by a moral code. Ameira merely laughed and rose her head to look at the varg in front of her once more. “Horizon, there are wolves like that everywhere. Or, at least, they live by a moral code that has no real morals except for lies and deceit. Always I have had to live in quiet and take everything that was given to me or told to me without question, but that does not mean my mind did not see the horror for what it truly was.” She turned to glance out over the cliff’s edge and a smile fixed itself firmly upon her kissers. “Horizon… I think I may explore a bit more. I may even… dare I even say it? I think I may take a pack as my own. It would be good, I think, to start anew. To make a pack for the misfits and miscreants who were held back or held down. To make a place where all belong.
