News - 6/19/21
Summer is here and Fall is short around the corner. There is unrest as it stands but, perhaps it is to our advantage. Let no one question our strength. Those who wish to speak on rank, seek me out. If anyone wishes to put a hunt together inform me. Adults or others who wish to rise in rank may seek me out.

We laughed at fate and mourned her;

She is not a creature that believes in wasting time. Always she was on the go, always moving, always doing something that would beneficial for herself. Now as an Alpha she did not have the time to do anything for herself. Instead her time was spent watching over the members of her pack, helping them when needed, and keeping the borders intact. She was fortunate that the members of her pack were quite self-sufficient, hardly was her presence needed, but she had found herself not minding their company if she accidentally stumbled upon them on her routine travels. Now as a Mother she had to cleverly split her time up not just to focus on her pack, but focus on her two children as well. It was natural for her to want to care for them, keep watch over them, and help them in any way possible to get them through their first year of life. However, they were the children of her imprint, and the bond of imprint essentially caused her to care a little bit too much for them. The same thing could have been said for Raven, after all she was the product of her former weaker imprint, but the life of Raven was created not out of mutual respect or need – but out of a deal. At least with Gunsynd and Nevermore they were the product of an imprint bond that occurred not only naturally, but from two dominant creatures that had a morbid form of mutual respect for the other. Today she wanted to spend some time with Gunsynd, providing him a chance to have her, and her alone, to keep him company today. She had put Nevermore, Tobias, and the rest of her pack aside, just to focus on him, and now that he was not following her, he was slowing her down, and therefore, wasting her time.

Dark ears twitched when she heard the sound of his puppy paws padding behind her. Her pace remained at a slow lumber, allowing the young boy to catch up, though her ear would twitch back to check on his progress, not really wanting to stop again. However, it would seem her desire to even reach the half-way point to the location she wished to show him would prove such a waste, because the boy decided that today he would risk his very own life tempting his Mother’s kindness – and more importantly – her patience. It did not occur to her that her own flesh and blood would dare question her on a particular issue she felt didn’t need to be discussed. Her son was made from herself and Tobias, and to hear the boy speak ill of his Father and the male she was soul-bounded to, caused the blood within her veins suddenly chill. Azure eyes, speckled with violet, narrowed as she suddenly went still. Obsidian and grey fur began to stick up on end as she stood there, her mind beginning to run – conflict building within her. On one hand she wanted to attack the child, force the boy to apologize for saying such unkind things about Tobias, and the other more motherly side of her, wanted to kindly point out to the boy he was lucky enough to be alive. Gunsynd was showing he wanted to act like adult, now that he was capable of subjective thought, perhaps Tick Tock would give him a piece of his own medicine...and cause the boy to suddenly doubt his pertained noble thoughts in regards to his sire.

For a moment the older she-wolf stares straight ahead as her mind continued to twist and turn on just how she was going to respond. He walked over a particular line and he must suffer the consequences...but which one? Turning her dial downwards she would search for that familiar emerald hue of his eyes, her own sapphire orbs holding for a brief moment a sadden gaze. That he assumed she could chose a proper suitor was possible was quite humorous. For all her years of living, no one had ever chosen her, for her. A lesson needed to be taught to the boy. That not everyone is wanted. Her jaw would part and her typical cold and gruff lyrics were replaced with a soft, somber cool voice that matched perfectly with her dejected expression on her scarred face.

“Because no one had chosen me before.”

She remains quiet as she keeps her somber eyes on her child, allowing her words to try and sink in, and help the boy to understand. He had yet to see what the world was really like. Here within the pack lands he would always be looked upon with approval, he would be appreciated, he would be liked. Tick Tock was not accustomed to such a lifestyle. Turning her head upwards, no longer looking at her son, she allowed her eyes to focus on the snowy landscape in front of them. Her soft voice would slowly be replaced by her typical gruff tone, but still a touch of gloom in her stern voice.

“Did it ever occur to you that perhaps no one was interested in me before? Before I became an Alpha I was a loner and along my travels no one noticed me, no one had wanted to get to know me...and I was not interested in having a child. Before you and your Sister I had another imprint, a weak and pathetic male, and it was through a pact with his Alpha I gave birth to her, but I left her the moment she didn’t need me to keep her alive anymore.”

With a flick of her long ebony tail, pepped with dark grey, she would stand herself up. She would not think of the daughter she abandoned. She left Raven with the moorland pack believing it would be for her own good. For a moment she would tilt her dial down and allow both their eyes to meet. This time her thick fur along her shoulder and neck would lift up in agitation, as she proudly exclaimed Tobias and her reasoning behind him as Gunsynd’s Father.

“Tobias is my imprint, Fate deemed us suitable and I will not leave him. He does not scowl at my presence, he does not ignore me, nor does he chase me away. He allows me near when I approach and he seeks me out for my presence, he alone, is the first to do such things for me. My parents did not, my former pack did not, and no other wolf within my life has treated me in similar fashion, all except him. I love him and although I doubt he will ever reciprocate that...no one will ever love me, for me. I will never have that chance. What male wolf would come sauntering in trying to receive my love when they could be killed by him?”

It is a sacrifice that not many would ever think of. Yes, she was a wolf soul-bound to a creature like Tobias, one of the most feared in all of Moladion, and no one ever stopped to think just what it would be like. True, many assumed any she-wolf that was tethered to him would die by his fangs. But no one stopped to think, just what would happen if he did not kill her. No one pondered on the fact that maybe, maybe, he wouldn’t kill her, but he would destroy any chance of the she-wolf to have another male suitor in her life, that would actually feel the love and comradery all lives deserve in one form or another. Tick Tock had fallen for her counterpart, but not by typical means or typical reasons. Within her dark and twisted mind she had her own reasons to loving Tobias, and that would not be revealed to anyone, let alone her own son, that seems to detest with him. With a shake of her head she would turn herself around, lowering her neck, to face the boy directly, ready to be done with this conversation.

“Tobias is your Father, whether you like it or not, but you are my son, part of my blood runs in your veins. Which means you don’t carry just his traits you carry mine as well – and do you not think stubbornness is a part of it? Do not call him a fool, you are young, and you haven’t seen what I’ve seen in him- he is different he has his moments of clarity it is rare...but when it occurs maybe you’ll understand.”

Turning around to face the direction she had intended to go in the first place, her dark ears pointed forward with interest. She still wanted her son to accompany with her, she still wanted to teach the boy what she felt he needed to learn. They had stalled long enough and she hoped the boy was done with his foolish thoughts. The very idea of giving the pack to her son was quite amusing, but she did not show it. She was old, yes, but she was strong. Her mind was still sharp, if not sharper now, with age, and there was no need to think about handing the pack down to either child. No, she was doing just fine with Tobias at her side. In an indifferent manner she asked the boy a question, and then began to walk straight ahead, intending the boy to follow with a flick of her tail once more.

“I haven’t decided if it will be Nevermore or you, but tell me Gunsynd...when have I ever led someone wrong?”
