Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was the second time Inanna had been told meeting Samia would be a good idea. Having the friendly nature that she did, the white pup was more than excited by this prospect. Natu informed her that her fated future friend was thinking about going into healing, the girl got even more excited. The idea of having a friend to learn a trade with brought a joyful optimism to her violet and blue eyes. It it were possible, her tail continued its motion even faster, a soft whine of desire emitting from her little jaws. “I would love to meet Samia! Thor was fun to play with. Maybe she would like to play to?” She hesitated for a moment, her tail going still. The memory of the last time she and Thor played together vivid in her mind. “Uh… I’m really sorry if Thor ever comes home smelling like dead fish…” Was all she had to say, hoping the apology would be enough for Natu to still allow her to play with her children.

Encouraged by Natu playing along with her (very serious) game, Inanna backed off the stick and padded into the taller reeds around them. Her head low to the ground to sniff, but her tail high like a periscope it became even more evident the girl would never be a scout, or sneaky in anyway. Paws fell heavily in the sand and even scraped noisily when being lifted again. She did have one skill going for her though. Through all of the scents she picked up from the world around her she was able to sort through them all to find the subtle difference the denoted the sulfuric pumice rock. With a yip of glee she snatched up the stone and trotted back to where Natu was standing guard over the stick.

Dropping the rock next to Natu’s paws, Inanna looked between her two prizes, considering them both. “Neither of these things are very well behaved. And the rock tastes weird. Is that why it can float?” She looked up at the older wolf, clearly expecting answers to her questions as well as to why the bumpy porous piece of lava was found floating and bouncing along on the ripples of a nearby stream whereas other rocks had no such flavor and sank.
