Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

(First off, I wanna say I am SO SORRY for the wait, usually I am not this bad so hopefully I won't take forever from now on :) )

It was not in her nature to attack such creatures without provocation but they were intent upon giving it to her. While Sorcha was a kind spirit she was also resilient, remembering the way the mother bear had chased after her over the berries she had craved before. It seemed berries would be the bane of her existence. That thought is fleeting, causing a slight rise in her lips and a half-muted chuckle before the assault begins. They refused to be left alone and she could not fight on two fronts. Fleeing seemed to be the only option even as she dodged the vicious teeth of the female, jolting back and laying her ears flat, her head jerking to the right to catch the sight of a wolf taking down another coyote who had tried to use his companion's distraction for his own enjoyment. A low growl, almost musical, bubbles up in her throat, almost tsking the coyotes for their resolve. Still, she felt no fear as the female came running at her, snapping wildly as fear trailed up it's spine. It was now faced with two wolves and it's companion was held down by Jago. Not the best option for a coyote.

Sorcha moves swiftly now, her lean figure flying over the snow as she dives in close to the female, reaching out to nip at the foreleg of the coyote and causing a cry to reach her ears. It is more from surprise than pain for Sorcha is careful not to injure her opponent - what if she has little ones and is merely looking to feed them? One cannot deny nature and the world seems to hum in agreement with this assessment as the female yips rapidly, rushing at Jago to try and get her friend unpinned before she takes off back into the trees with or without him.

The vixen stands then with the snow pressing against the black of her limbs as mossy green eyes look over the male who had come to help her. He is considerably older but age meant nothing to her. It was time spent in the world and hopefully with more time meant he had more wisdom than some. And stories - she loved crafting stories but she loved hearing them from the lips of travelers more. "I'm sure if you let him up now he will be on his way. They are outmatched and out witted. I do hope they do not go hungry for long," she says gently, pausing so see whether he would finish off the male or not. "I thank you, Sir Knight, for your intervention. Impeccably timed. I am Sorcha, of Spirane."

Now she smiles, a self-confident smile that is not meant to show conceit but pleasure in his company. "Perhaps you'd like some of the fox as a token for your rescue before we leave?" She assumes the we, for she wasn't planning to let him go so easily now that he had saved her. There was no doubt many things he could tell her.
