Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He wondered what these new creations were, these new siblings, and how they really paired up. He understood why Ava would do such a thing, to create more of herself. She is perfection, and thus more of her must be spread across the land. Yet, he knew of how young was created, and knew it must not have been Heyel, but some other male that spurred the creation. His mind could only ponder sharply on the decisions his mother had made- and if they were worthy decisions.

Eden does confirm that they are indeed of mother though. That is good enough, and yet he knows that he must go see them for himself, his lips wrinkle slightly when he mentions that they nearly kill Ava, his eyes flaring as he looks to Eden with a deep, uncontrollable grow lingering in his throat- obviously not directed at his brother, but at what he says. He is not pleased to hear such things, although pleased that Ayal decided to take the situation with her own jaws. His body calms slightly with Eden's decision to keep them around. Well, he will have to decide their worth once he goes to see them with his own eyes- soon.

"I tend to agree with Ayal- but I will judge them soon," he states plainly.

He does not understand Eden's laughter- a thing he hardly does himself and barely understands as a strange bodily function. His eyes of violet and orange narrow as he goes over Eden's face in this moment. He acts oddly, yet Eden was always an odd one in Anselm's eyes. His words and actions were all odd as he simply watches with a face rather reminiscent to Ava's stare- yet with Heyel's face. His body weight shifts as he mentions another means to discovering the truth of their lineage. It does tug his ears towards Eden a bit more in a show of slight curiosity.

The next moment was but a whisper on the wind that delicately burrowed into his ears. He does not pull back, simply inhales the information that he knew true long, long ago. His mind was already set on Heyel being their father, and it was set on the millionth time that someone called him Heyel. So Eden's words only surprise so much at first- in that he got Heyel to talk. He was a surprisingly tight-lipped old man, yet Eden expanded. Anselm licks his lips in reaction to the son who watched the father die, remembering the blood of Heyel upon his lips when he found his dead body, and remembering the female who then chased after him with another with her. He knew Heyel was not taken by disease or the body failing on its own. He knew fang took the life of Heyel- and it appears Eden witnessed it. His hackles raise only slightly in reaction, but he is not displeased. Heyel was old and weak. Someone needed to purge the old man, yet Eden only said that he watched.

"Why would the son stop what needed to be done?" he asked- although it was entirely a rhetorical question.

"You pried the truth from his lips before his last breath?" he said in their ancient tongue, hardly caring who it was that actually killed Heyel. He was more curious how Eden got the information out of the old man.
