LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK, LIKE A HOLE IN YOUR HEAD
Part of youth was finding yourself in impossible situations. And as Ehiyeh stood face-to-face with the cat, body quivering with both fear and anticipation, she figured that this would turn out one of two ways. She would either die, or someone would have heard her barking and approached her. And they, hopefully being bigger than she, would help her kill this trophy and she could drag it back to her den with a proud smile and a bounce in her step. Luckily for her, it appeared that today the second option would be the one chosen. Amethyst eyes flicked backwards just briefly as the girl heard the bark, announcing the arrival of another male. Her tail gave a small wave- this would be one of the only times she would be happy to see someone coming towards her- and she turned back towards the lynx.
The big cat did not falter when the other male approached, but instead focused it's attentions on him. Ehiyeh caught the words and scoffed- she appreciated the sentiment, but this was her trophy. "Run? I am not running from such a beautiful trophy." The yearling said with a wicked grin, darting towards the lynx as the male snapped at it's face. It did not run, though, instead aiming more swipes at the male while Ehiyeh, unnoticed, leaped up and sunk her sharp teeth into the side of it's neck.
The cat yowled and shook violently, displacing Ehiyeh and throwing her backwards, paws skidding in the sand. "No, we are not running, you are going to help me kill it and it will be my greatest treasure." She braced herself as the lynx turned towards her, lunging forward with it's sharp claws. Ehiyeh quickly sidestepped out of the way, dancing lightly around the cat as it grew frustrated with trying to catch up with her. "Quick! While it's distracted!"
