Zeus is a decent fighter, I will admit. He put poor Amir in the dirt and I had to send him back with Solara to seek aide. I don't know the extent of the damage just yet but I plan on going to see him first when I get back. But for now, I need to finish what we started. I won't leave today until Zeus is walking in front of me to Diveen's borders. This beast will be captured one way or another. Zeus took off into the woods and I alone ran after him. Calliel is probably still busy with the other wolf in the caverns, the one who was helping Zeus. I hope she gives him a big piece of her mind. He will be punished as well once I have a name. But for now, my focus is on Zeus. I follow his trail into the forest, my hackles still raised and trembling as I sniff and look around, ever cautious in case he plans to ambush me or something. He seems unpredictable. When I catch a glimpse of the beast, he is getting back to his feet but it's easy to see that he's wounded. His blood is strong in my nostrils as my lips curl back, revealing sharp white teeth. He's got a lot of injuries and I bet it won't take much to subdue him but I want to make sure he can still walk to Diveen. I'd hate to have to drag such a big wolf. Why must our enemies be giants just like us? They should be small, weasil like. I walk calmly to up to him, stopping a few feet away. My voice is smooth and confident, my ears pricked toward him. "If we fight, you know I will win. But I don't aim to drag a limp corpse back to Diveen. Surrender and I will spare your life...for now. Play hard to get and I will be forced to show you the error of your ways." |
