I begin testing him the moment I place him on the ground. He doesn’t’ seem scared, nor did he at my first approach. However I had to know what he would do, how he would act. I would simply destroy him if I had to, Jaidah had plenty of spawn for me to grab after all, this one just seemed the right one to snatch up at the time. I didn’t know of his feelings, that he already was rejecting his creators, was content with the path I had set him on. Perhaps I should have been able to tell given his lack of fighting back, but I was thinking maybe he was just too stupid to run or fight back, that or too smart. Funny how things like that could go both ways. If he fought me he was a blind fool for thinking he could win, if he didn’t try that could make him smart for knowing his place or too stupid to try and run from someone that could kill him. I ponder this small piece of information, wondering which he was. A fool or somewhat intelligent. I figure soon I will know as I greet him and welcome him back to the lands.
”Good? I assume ‘she’ would be your mother I take it you are not so proud of her actions and failures? Is that why you were walking all alone? Has she forsaken you? Or you her?” I feel this child’s plight all too much, already I take him now to be smarter than the average fool I find simply for knowing what’s better for him. I grin as he asks why he is back in Asteraia so happy he had the forsight to ask me such a question.
”I had taken you to offer you a place amongst us, the new Alphess told me to take someone I thought would be content to live here. Who better than an occupant that once lived here. I doubt you left on your own accord after all.” I don’t find reason to say more yet. I shouldn’t have to sell this place. He already has his mind made up on what he is going to do. I can tell, see it burning behind his eyes that while he questions why he himself has been chosen that he is not perhaps against it. Least that is how I see it.
He has been given an opportunity perhaps. Maybe he, rightfully, believed if he were to turn up here on his own free will he would have been slaughtered for having the blood of the female who kept foolishly coming here again and again. Well now here he had an invitation to come back home and now it was up to him if he wanted to make something of it and of himself.
