aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Had she been an attentive wolf, she would have immediately noticed his depressed countenance - the frantic look on his face. The way his pinnae were trembling with uncertainty. The way he lowered his head low after he spoke. But Hellene was not her sister and was too excited to even notice any of these things. It wasn't until after the prolonged silence that she even looked to the hessian. Her brows raised expectantly, waiting for him to answer her question. It was then and only then that her ambers caught sight of his position, no doubt raised itself like a plague inside of her mind. Hellene watched as slowly, Zev wetted his lips and raised his head, his dark gaze finally meeting hers.Unknowingly, Hellene took a step backward, her subconscious registering the bad news before her conscious mind could even fathom it.

'No, actually. I came here to ask if you had seen her, but you’ve already answered that question.' Hellene mimicked the brute and lowered her haunches to the ground. As stated, the last time that she had seen Zev was in a situation very similar to this one - "So... Athene has gone missing again? I thought... I thought you two were good. I thought you too had figured everything out. Is she not simply within the packlands somewhere?" Hellene was being overly hopeful, grasping at straws when she knew there were none. Zev would not be here, public ally announcing his relationship issues, if he did not have another option.

'Do you mind refreshing my memory on, uh, what we did last time?' Hellene nodded weakly, her ambers downcast as she looked through her memories. It had been a while... Perhaps over a year? The memories were still clear in her mind though, and she recounted them for Zev. "We went over what she said, what you said...I told you a little bit about our past... And then I pressed you to find the place that she would have gone to say goodbye to you without... You know... Actually saying goodbye to you. Did you really have no inkling that she was going to leave again? Haven't you been sharing a den as mates should? Haven't you been seeing her every night? Or - wait - has she been gone for a while? Is she hurt?" Hellene suddenly shut her kissers together, realizing that all of this was likely embarrassing for Zev.... But more so that she was asking questions that were very personal. "I'm sorry, Zev. I don't mean to pry. I just thought..." What exactly did she think? That she sister had found the perfect life as she always did? That she was happy like she always as?
