H O R I Z O N
The herculean figure watched the shadows; any wolf was inclined to answer his call, if any wolf resided in this place… A chocolate and ember pool each surveyed the trees, waiting for the white ess with lilac eyes to come striding in. It was as he sat there that he began to notice her scent everywhere. Each tree smelled like her, the boundary line even had an underlying tinge of her marking. The kalak was getting more and more confused with each passing second. It had only been a few weeks ago, that felt like mere minutes, that the pauper lad had been sitting side by side with her discussing where she might take residence. He did not know, yet or then that she meant that literally. Unbeknown to the fiery titan, his lilac lily had taken this refuge of darkness into her own paws. Blackened auds flicked at the sound of approaching steps, but the scent was still unknown. Whoever this wolf was, they stepped with daintiness and confidence.
Horizon’s worried façade lightened as the lady broke through the underbrush, she let out a soft bark. A smile broke across his face instantly, she was safe and happy. That was all Horizon could have asked for. I did it, Horizon, I did what I told you! At first Horizonn was slightly confused, his head tipped slightly. He would have questioned her but she continued, This is my pack now… This is my home and I am its Queen! Horizon’s jaw could have dropped to the ground had it been possible, but he maintained his composure slightly aside from the hearty bark of happiness that erupted from him. Never had he thought that Ameira meant to take a place, he only thought she’d meant to join a pack, but he no less happy. My congratulations Queen Ameira! Horizon stood up and bowed to Ameira, as he rose and silly smile held his lips up. His cheeks were beginning to ache from the amount of smiling he was participating in, continuously that is. I do hope it wouldn’t be much trouble for me to join your ranks, m’lady? Horizon chuckled slightly, he was being very informal, but given that Ameira was his only friend at the moment he felt no reserves around her. But under the joking tone, he was trying to being as serious as possible.
The fiery titan rose back to his full height, still towering over the Lady, but he was the loner and beggar at her paws. Horizon had contemplated other packs, even Cold Summers where he might have found other kalaks such as himself. But with Lady Ameira as a leader, he could think of no other place where he might find refuge. I would serve you with upmost faith and loyalty Ameira. I do not think I could find a better place nor better leader to seek residence in or ruled under. Horizon was not flattering the Lady, he was merely stating the truth, with the hopes that he would be able to join her.
