Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

: Ame :
with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

Things had changed a lot. This year had been the year of change for the boy, a metamorphosis from a scared child into a brave and daring teen. He hadn’t changed a lot nature wise. Ame still as kind and gentle, but since the day where he fended off the bear from Semele, well he had changed. He was now bold where he was timid, something that showed itself even more so. Close to the end of winter he had broke the news to his mother and father, it was time to go. He decided he wanted to be a loner, find his own way to fulfill his light. Alone. He knew there were bands of wolves out here that could kill or help him. He heard of a particular group that was growing rather large but he avoided them for now. Ame liked it this way. Slowly he was honing himself through just survival on his own. He was a bit more lean and muscular now underneath his pelt and perhaps a bit on the thin side, but that was just season. Hunting on our own was hard in the winter with many small prey hold up in their nests he had to get lucky and hunt the down or find something that was already killed by someone else. His fur was fluffy and even the soft curls were showing a bit and it was very full from being out on his own and in the cold. He was fine though, his fur was more like his mother’s so it was at least more suited for the cold than his father’s had been.

Today he had better luck though with hunting. Already with the temperatures warming up with Spring he was having better luck at finding all manners of smaller creatures. Fish down by Aplos was what he managed to find today. The water was freezing with the melt off of Spirane but in some shallow areas he managed to grab himself a fish. Now he was jogging quickly towards the woodlands where he had been wandering most frequently. The tree cover made for excellent wind blocks and the snow was thinner there making it easy though with the sun he knew sooner rather than later he would be able to wander more freely about Moladion. It was luck perhaps that a scent brushed his nose, one familiar though marred with the thick scent of the Moors of Iromar. He stopped trying to recall the last he had seen his friend, last they met he had told him of his capture and gratitude towards the pack that long ago had been Ame’s own home’s enemy.

He wasn’t sure it was Halcyon though. The pup he called his closest friend as well as the first wolf he had ever helped. He had wished Halcyon would have stayed with him in Diveen, but life had other ways of getting them to their goals. As the russet boy came crashing before him Ame didn’t cower or jump like maybe he would have used too. He looked a bit surprised at most, ears perking forward and tail twitching upwards slightly more defensive than he once was. He had changed… Perhaps more than Halcyon even had changed, but it was for the better.

His tail waved immediately after meeting with the shorter boy’s brown eyes. A grin slowly split Ame’s maw. ”Hal! Iromar seems to be treating you well.” There was no timidness to his voice anymore, his voice actually sounded a bit deeper too giving it an edge of confidence that didn’t used to be there either, though, like his father’s, it was still a bit of a higher male tone. ”This one is doing well. This one also decided recently decided to strike it on one’s own, haven’t regretted it yet.” He said, grinning slightly. He still talked in the odd way his mother did, though with lack of others to talk to ‘normally’ he hadn’t really spoken in the way others did for some time. Nor did he care. He used to be shy and a bit embarrassed when he talked like his mother, but now the boy embraced it. He did this to make her proud after all, to help keep balance… That was why he became a wanderer.
