The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Her touch comforted me for a moment, although caught up in the moment I had not grasped her words. I backed up from Halina once more. I shook my head. She had to be joking. My eyes grew wide with shock, I was unaware of what to do in this moment. I put a couple yards distance between the two of us. Maybe this angered her, but she had to have been a monster if she lived here. My jaw clenched, I can’t believe how I easily I was deceived. She had saved me and I was grateful for that, but if i was to survive it could not be within this pack, could it? In this moment I was scared, along with angry, but I did not want to cry anymore. " Damn it. " Tears rolled down my cheeks. My head felt like it was going to explode, she had to be joking, she seemed to care for me. So why would she bring me here?

I was born here, my whole life had been in Blossom Forest. I had adventures with other orphans and I had survived by myself when they were gone.. well adopted. I had traveled everywhere within Blossom Forest searching for my mother, but there were some places I would not dare to even go, one of which was this pack. I waited for her to say something, I could not bare to look at her anymore. I could not run away, I had nowhere to go. Not to mention my backside was ripped open I couldn’t do too much to irritate it, and make it bleed again. I had wanted to survive, but here? Here I would surely die.

I was not strong, I had survived. But I was weak. Everything about me screamed of weakness. Halina knew and he hated it. She was not honest with him, when he was nothing but honest with her. Here he stood at a stand off just outside the border of her ‘home’. Hell how could she even call it that? He looked back up at her again. He unclenched his jaw and spoke finally. " You- you’re going to have to tell me the truth. You have to be honest now. About yourself.. And about this place. " He expected that she would just turn into some monster now, and start attacking him. That is why my words came out in a stutter and so quietly. The way he saw her had changed, he could not believe she had saved him. But for what exactly?
