The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

It seemed as though no one had word of where Tesseract or Caligula had disappeared to. This cut Alana deeply, as they had been the two that had made her feel the most safe in these lands. To find them again would mean to find safety again. Yet, for now at least, she would have to make due without them.

This Gaia, though, Alana found to be quite endearing. Something about her sweet nature reminded Alana of the pup she had rescued once on the shores of Glorall. Noel had been his name, though she had not seen him since that day. A shame too, as he was kind. She hoped no harm had befallen him as it had her.

Alana tilted her grey head slightly as Gaia spoke of not having a home either. She could see herself traveling with this female. She had a fair point too, in saying that two wolves are indeed better than being alone.

Gently, Alana returned the other’s smile. “I think I should like to travel together.”

Eyes that had lost some of their wariness followed the female as she walked into the sunlight. Alana followed, a slight click of her paws against the stone of the cave the only sound she made.

Her smile broadened as the other bent in a play bow. Alana’s tail wagged behind her, higher now than it had been since she returned to these lands. Perhaps her return wouldn’t be so bad.
