Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

you hear it on the breeze...

Spring time in the fields was almost surreal. Flowers were starting to bloom, birds sang, and butterflies of various colors winged their way through the gentle breezes. It was an experience Pine was not sure she had before. Even after a year of age, she had not dared leave the comforts of Iromar for too long, though she had popped out every now again. The desire to explore pulsed too great in her veins. Now a year old, far stronger than she had been on her first adventure, she was able to step out of the packlands on stable, if big, paws. Tongue rolling from her lips, she padded through the fields, merely looking at the sights that were so different from her muddy, watery, home. After glancing around, she even sniffed at the small white flowers that popped up. It was interesting to see a new world in a new light. Still small, and doomed to continue to be small, she barely was able to peer over the tall grasses as she ventured further into the fields. It only hightened her excitement and the thrill. She knew she could find her way home, having grown and learned how to do so. Now it was time to keep learning.

Alert eyes picked up movement just to her left. Silently, the small girl shot through the grass. Paws were spread wide as she pounced with all her force and agility onto a field mouse that caught her attention. Young and lacking finesse, she lost her target, but continued to chase it in an attempt to capture the creature. The result was her bouncing and jumping around, creating a small clearing in the growing green, with little yips. The sounds started out as frustration and slowly started to shift to sounds of play and pleasure. With each jump she learned more about her growing body. Pine was in prime playing and learning mode. She loved it!
