you hear it on the breeze...
Clearly it was a day made for exploring! Big Wolf was probably not going to be terribly pleased, but really she did not think he could blame her. So long as she came back at a decent time there was nothing he could scold her for. She could not believe he would have wanted her to be a pup who huddled scared in their den for the rest of forever. In fact, she thought it might have even been disappointing to him if she had spent too much time being holed up in their hole in the ground. So, she ventured forth and trotted boldly from the moors of Iromar.
Just outside of the border she followed an interesting terrain change, curious about the shift from marsh to stone. Forested eyes scanned the horizon, looking to see if there were any predators. Seeing none, the tip of her tail wagged and she padded into the dark caverns of the grotto. A happy grin on her face and with her big paws scraping against the floor of caves she poked into any and every hidy hole she could find. There was nothing that would stop her from exploring every inch of this cave she had discovered! It was lucky she had found one of the more well-lit sections of the grotto, considering the creatures that like the dwell deeper in the depths. A smirk fitted itself on the small girl’s maw. With an idea she settled herself into a small hole in the walls, letting her mixed but mostly grey coat blend in with the rocks around her. Vibrant forest eyes looked out at the world, waiting cleverly for anyone who would stumble across her. She was so ready to pounce on another wolf, if it was a small wolf, or maybe even a shadow! Her intentions were harmless. Maybe, she thought, maybe another pup would be exploring like she was and find their way into the grotto!
