Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

She had spent the winter away from her home, mismatched eyes wide in fear. Early in the fall a crazed wolf chased her, claiming someone had wanted to eat her. Maybe that wolf had tried to eat her, she still was not sure. Another wolf had saved her, big white paws protecting her from the woman’s jaws. Now he had left and she was all alone.

White coat helped her remain unseen in the snow, but that did not prevent her from getting cold. She sought out any kind of shelter, relief finally coming to her when she found the shelter in the crags. Every time the wind shifted she would get up and move to a different spot, body still shivering in the cold, soft whimpers coming from her pale lips. Food had been scarce throughout the season, she had picked on and pounced any rodents that had also taken to the rocks to find shelter. During more mild days she had learned very quickly what could or could not be eaten as far as plantlife was concerned. Her curious spirit when she was younger aided her well and she learned what would keep her alive in a time of starvation.

Now she lay curled in the corner of an outcropping in the crags. Her yearling body thin, and fur having lost a lot of its luster. Her thoughts were elegiac as the moved to memories of her family. Her brothers and sister, mother and father, wondering if they had been looking for her. In times of despair she wondered if they had even noticed she would have been gone. Sif would have, she knew. Her sister would have been well aware of her disappearance and would have tried to find her. But she was just as young as Inanna was. Though the other pup spoke volumes with her sticks and drawings, most of the time adults turned a blind eye and therefore deaf ears on her sibling.

Inanna breathed a heavy sigh and curled further into a ball. Though it was spring, she still had not shaken the cold of the winter.
