Captain Mona Shindy

In an Opinion column in the Courier Mail, there is a photograph of Captain Mona Shindy of the Royal Australian Navy. Capt Shindy wears veils under her headwear as she is of the Islamic faith. I consider her to be incorrectly dressed as she is not wearing the prescribed uniform of the RAN. Our Defence Forces should not allow variations to the uniforms of our Military just because someone is of another religion. What if a man of Indian descent wanted to join but wanted to wear a turban. I'm sure this would never be allowed. Allowing small variations to uniforms undermines discipline.
