'Cause I'm the big bad wolf
NOW LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!
I often wonder if we would be gearing up to become queens, if we would be respected and known in the pack we had come to. If we would have been model citizens of Asteraia had Mother been given a chance to lead. Had that black wench held her temper and just took Mother's invitation for what it was, would we be learning the ropes of leadership rather than their whelps, if they had any? I cannot dwell on thoughts like these, they send me into a murderous rage that I cannot afford right now. I have things to do and wolves to defeat.
They had once been to Diveen, when it was ruled by Covet. Recent run-ins with the Angel Aaliyah have enlightened me to our heritage within the pack, the older woman claiming my siblings and I to be her grandchildren. I could see it, the way Gehenna's eyes were a near duplicate of hers was a dead give away. They were rather well-known to have the best warriors, spies, healers, and diplomats around. I would need all of these skills, I would have to learn it all. My plans would take time, meticulous practice and execution. I would need to become known, to do things that belong in shadows in the light would be dangerous, but there were other ways to become famous. If I am fierce enough, I could become infamous.
I look to my sister, watching her expression as she gives me silent questions and asks for direction. I adore this woman, and I will do anything I can to ensure her birthright and mine are re-established.
"Diveen. We know the land, they are known for their prowess in all things." Gloved paws move now, leading the way toward the divided plateaus of Diveen. We could make real connections there, or at least, learn to make connections. When reaching in the shadows, one never knows what they will pull back. I was reaching for the shadows, and I would only stop once I had them in my jaws. Diveen, the pack who pride themselves on keeping the peace of Moladion, the Angels who spread their wings and dispel any threat to the region would be the ones responsible for the descent of the ones they seek to protect.
Playfully, I bat my tail at Gehenna as we set off, then turn a brisk walk into a ground eating lope.
