News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

I did not know this Tithe wolf at all and yet honestly I didn’t really mind if he wanted to say, maybe he was Spiranes spy as I was for Asteraia and was simply interested in what I had to say- I hardly begrudged him that. The gold of my eyes moved to rest upon the Alphess as she spoke however, deviating only slightly to peer back out over the mountains I had been born to, the home my family still resided within. Perhaps, if Dany did not mind, I would take a moment to visit them and meet my younger siblings. Father I was not entirely assured I wanted to see, I did love him, I just found him very hard to impress, though Mother I was entirely sure I would be pleased to see. Perhaps I could even tell her of Embla, another wolf from the mountains whom had come to live within the fields and my very own imprint. I was lucky, I think, to find the one I was destined to be with so young. Saves a lot of searching really, even if I’m not entirely sure I understand the imprint thing exactly. Maybe it’s just because she still seems so much younger sometimes. I think of her a lot though, all the time really. Maybe if this works out I will finally get my promotion, I’d like that. I want to have a good career after all, to provide for her, who wants an imprint that does nothing? I shook the thoughts away for now, earthen form inclined back to the mountain Queen as she spoke, seeming to have misunderstood my words- or failed to understand them at all as my head shook softly in correction- waiting, respectfully, for her to finish before I went on. Mistress Impa would be proud- I just showed patience. That’s a fairly new thing for me.

“What I mean is that Asteraia no longer attracts the same…er…..type of wolf that it did beneath Jaidah. Do you understand what I mean?”

I was reluctant, I suppose, to say ‘cannibal’ it seemed a fairly…unproductive word and not one I saw any need to throw about. I’m smarter then I look I promise and I hardly think reminding anyone of Asteraia’s past was a useful idea. My words however, were entirely true, beneath Impa the pack was finally changing, there were some wolves who were, I suppose, a little inclined to….other things and yet I lived there each day and had never been set upon, I’d never even seen an attack by any of our members and that, I think, is worth mentioning. There seemed to be a shadow hanging over our pack, one that not all of us, at least, deserved to be cast beneath and truly I had some hope one I respected so much as the Queen I had been born beneath was willing to see it.

“I lived beneath Jaidah as well and if I can be frank about it I think it was good she was stopped when she was, she had plans, I think, that you and many others would not have agreed with. Asteraia now is not Asteraia as it was then and there are others of Spirane, myself, Embla….who call the field home now. It’s changing and we would like to be considered as any other pack might be, fairly, for a friendship with you- even a treaty.”

Maybe ‘Tobias’ was a name far to feared to encourage even Spirane and maybe I wasn’t exactly a huge fan of my King but he didn’t bother me either. Honestly, he kept to himself and I was fine with that, he appeared to bash wolves up and chase them off and maintain our home and for that I suppose I can’ really fault him. As for Jaidah, well, I can’t say entirely I knew of her plans, my words perhaps tainted in a bit of exaggeration there, I might have been wrong, but I might have been right too, it hardly matters. I simply wanted to make a point. I hear what others say about Asteraia after all and really, well, I don’t like myself being regarded as some sort of cannibal- the pack isn’t like that. We are not dark or evil or whatever else they may label us, why does the deeds of one wolf label me and the others the same way? I think fairness is hardly to much to ask, her own request equally as fair I think.

“Shall I tell Impa to expect you then? You should come to the fields, to see it for yourself- if you want anyway. Would you just like to speak to Impa alone or should I say you wish to talk to Tobias as well?”

Honestly I did not know what she would prefer, just Impa, Impa and Tobias, Impa and her children, all four of them? How these things are normally done I cannot say so I gave her all the options- even though I am not sure ‘talking’ to Tobias is entirely possible. Maybe she would just pick Impa. I let the gold of my gaze return to her features now, awaiting her choice to either some to the fields to meet my Alphas or ask for either one or both of them to come here. Maybe I did inherit something from my Father after all. I wasn’t entirely terrible with words when I wanted to be.
