The woman of white with a splash of red, black, and grey upon her back and left hip could sense the dislike radiating from the female at her approach. Her lava-pool eyes surrounded by thick black eyeliner lock onto the female and the gaze was intense. Flare was in tune with the art of body language, and knew immediately that the other female did not wish to be here or accept her with open arms. Flare raised her tail as she stood on the other side of Tobias, hackles prickling slightly in reaction to the other female's body language. The only reason she did not chase the female out immediately was because the shadow did not wish it, and Flare was keen on his intentions. She was always able to sense what was needed for him and react accordingly. They did not need words, and that is why they worked so well together. She was the flame and he was the shadow, and together they were a natural combination.
Flare stood tall next to the shadow, her place among them assured and she showed it accordingly. The lead female comes now, a welcoming sight for Flare as her intense eyes flicker over towards the she-shadow. Flare was a bit tense, feeding off the negative energy the strange female gave off. The she-shadow calmed this feeling within her with her approach. Flare knew now that she was in good company and such an aura would not be tolerated long. Her tail gives a wag towards the she-shadow, ears pulling back a bit as she watches.
The exchange of scents did not go well. Flare never minded when she was touched by either shadow, but the strange female did not react the same. In fact, she growled, and Flare felt her body rise in tension and aggression at the reaction towards the she-shadow. Flare jumps around the shadow, positioning herself where she can see the strange female and easily go in for the attack if needed. However, she does not attack, but simply positions herself with exposed fang. The words that slip from the woman's mouth have no meaning other than their nasty tone. Flare issued a warning growl in response, with her eyes fixed on the stranger. Flare felt a need to ensure no threats or intruders entered these lands, and if either shadow signals her, she would have no problem using fang to set the stranger in place or chase her out.
She only calms with the touch of the shadow as he brushes against her and turns back into the land. Flare's eyes linger on the stranger a bit longer, her red hackles lowering only slightly before she silently follows the lead of the shadow and turns into the land. Yet there is a pause, and her head turns back to see the stranger then running out of the pack. Initially her desire is to chase and nip at her heels, but she holds back such urges unless she follows the lead of the shadows. Otherwise, she will simply stand and watch, feeling a tension leave her body with the negative energy fleeing from the fields...yet she knows something may not be right with the shadow, and her mind will soon attempt to understand such things.
