I will humbly disagree with your review on this movie. Tayllor and I spent the week before this watching all of the star wars movies in sequence. We finished the last one the day before we saw this movie. It was everything I had hoped it would be. It was a continuation of a story that spans across time, introducing new leading characters for a new generation that is now fighting the battle. I learned enough about the history of the beloved characters to feel satisfied with where they had ended up and the current important roles they still play. But, they are handing the torch over to the new generation which is how it must be. I am excited and intrigued by the new characters and yes the mystery behind them that I know will be revealed in upcoming episodes. Just as in the old star wars, they left us hanging, waiting for the next episode to take us further into the journey.
I will be anxiously awaiting the next movie. By the way, Carrie Fisher looked great as did Harrison Ford. I did not care for the actor that played the new villain, but it's probably just as well that he was not strikingly attractive as it is so much harder to hate a good looking guy
