Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

HELLO DARKNESS, MY OLD FRIEND

Nox
Hello Darkness, my old friend;

Nox was a social fem, so by nature she craved the companionship of others. Each day she went without another voice to talk to she felt a part of her start to go insane. She was likely to settle with the first wolf that came, for as of late she hadn’t had any to choose from at all. The forest around her is alive with animals, off to collect food for their growing young. She watches a squirrel jump from tree to tree lazily with half lidded eyes. A blue bird sings his tune from a branch above her and a soft breeze moving her fur. For the moment Nox was content, happily dozing in the sun while the animals around her bustle about their day.

The minutes tick by as she waits. The rock beneath her is warm and the sun beats down on her back from its perch in the sky. For a moment the girl had almost dozed off when the howl of another tore through the forest. Her ears perch forward on her head at the loud approach of her visitor. She could only assume that she was younger by her not so light steps. She spots the copper hued female coming to her through the trees. She notes how her overly large ears still give her a puppy-like appearance, when clearly she was old enough to wander away from her home and into territory that could prove unsafe. As of now, Nox was the bigger wolf. But before long the pup would grow up and likely outweigh her.

Green eyes gaze into her golden ones and she hops from her perch at the invitation for company.

"Why, I would love some company. Will you walk with me?”

Her voice is a purr as it slips through her lips. She doesn’t wait for an answer, she would figure a young wolf like this would prefer to explore rather than have to sit and talk. She waits until her new found acquaintance has caught up before entering a slow trot. An ear flicks back into the direction of the white and orange female to make sure she’s close before she speaks.

"What’s your name? You can call me Nox.

Nox always preferred to know who she was talking to, for some reason it made talking to them easier. It’s not long before they run into the swamp. This is where Nox halts; not daring to dirty her paws and fur in the rancid mud. She sits on the land just before it turns into muck, long tail wrapping around black legs, her dial turned towards the copper fem. Her voice is silvery, a pleasant sound to the ears it touched.

”Is this your first time out on your own?”
