Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

She had to admit, she was glad that she had not been scolded for her mention of Tobias with such an obvious distate. Perhaps she shouldn't have expected it. After all, she had a difficult time imagining any wolf who might take pity upon him; he had become a slave to his instincts first and now, he seemed to be a slave to some other thing. He had never been the one to seek dominance through a pack, after all. She had grown up alongside he and his stories and though he dominated any wolf he came across, he had never once sought to take part in pack affairs. So, what had made Asteraia different? Even if he had changed, even the slightest, she had no doubts that he'd still present as a risk. She'd always despise him. Even when he died, she had no doubt she'd still utter his name with venom.

Thankfully, she had been entirely distracted by the arrival of Tithe. She issued him a stout, brief bow of her head in greeting, an ear flicked towards him as he assumed their purpose. She liked him, to be truthful, but she had never been too good at showing that. To anybody, in fact. Even now, she had her suspicions that Sleekwing did not know that she actually liked him. There was more to it than a mere sense of obligation. The same could have been said of Tithe; she liked him, but she had no idea how to show it, particularly when they had come together again to discuss something that tasted like sand in her mouth.

Daenerys took the lead swiftly and so, Malina had fallen back into a more comfortable position as she briefly assessed her observations and how to articulate them. She'd have no issue letting Tithe speak first, and she'd wait patiently if he had the initiative to do so.

"Well," she had finally begun, rocking forth and stepping slightly so as to bring the attention to her as she moved to speak, "I had an opportunity to meet with one of their young. To be precise, she was their Princess. Nevermore, I believe it was." She had been strange, sure, but she had been friendly enough. Galileo had been right to be suspect and she wondered, briefly with a sheepish grin to herself, if her indiscretion there would be revealed now that he had returned to Spirane with the offer. "She seemed interested in meeting other children, and I have a feeling she has not met many others before. However, that was not the... concerning part of our meeting."

She paused, allowing both of her company to process the information before she continued, her brows now furrowed. "She was adamant that she could not leave the territory in fear that others would kill her," she stated simply, her eyes darting between Tithe and Daenerys's, "it seems there is a paranoia in the pack. I cannot say if it originates from their leaders though I suspect it. It may create tension in the future. One mistake, or misunderstanding, may incite something to... flare up, I suppose. Paranoia is a...volatile thing, after all."

She was curious to see how they would take that, for it had certainly been something of interest to her. Sure, a treaty might save them the pain of Tobias lurking about but what else could it potentially let in? Malina had some ideas, though she ought to not speak them too publicly she thought. See, what if Daenerys lost credibility... in a sense? Or power, however one might see it. If she had to watch her every step, and the every step of her pack, in fear of inciting some fear of Asteraia's queen... would it be worth the assumed safety? Nonetheless, she proceeded with what she saw as a potential manipulation of that.

"We could use that, of course," she stated after several moments of quiet, her lip twitching back in a brief grin that she had quickly wiped away, "See, we could show Asteraia that we, and by extension Spirane's children, are not the one's who seek to cause harm. It may be beneficial, in a sense, to gain the affections or favor of their daughter, who I assume might be their heir. Long term insurance, one might call it."
