Outlook for the next few weeks IP: 22.214.171.124 Posted on January 15, 2016 at 06:15:48 PM by T
Well we just got done with the first major lake effect snow event of the season a couple
of days ago. We get a brief warm up to near 40 today and tomorrow. Then we are back
into a winter time pattern for the next couple of weeks.
A few flurries on Sunday. A clipper moves in Sunday night with some snow showers.
Behind this clipper we turn much colder for next week. Lake effect squalls will
be with us for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The bands will be from
southern Oswego county down into Wayne, Cayuga, Onondaga and Oneida counties.
This has the potential to be a prolonged event with some places picking
up 2 feet or more! By Thursday we should dry out with high pressure moving in.
We may see a couple of chances of coastal storms into the end of the month.
But going into February there are signs that we turn milder. Not sure how
long it will last or how mild we get. But we could get a break from this
very brief winter weather. Replies: There have been no replies.
