Orhan
The filly's impish and energetic behavior clued him in to who she was before she had the chance to tell him herself. Orhan smiled with amusement, noting how she only had eyes for Koray even as she spoke. "That's right," the stallion answered, and thought of making a comment on how much Taika had grown in the time since they'd last seen each other, but before he could the conversation had been diverted.
Koray all but recoiled at the sudden attention, tossing his head in surprise and taking a step backwards, away from the filly. His sea green eyes peered at her from beneath his flame-colored forelock with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. "Okay," he replied bluntly. "I'm... Koray."
Orhan's attention was briefly diverted by this exchange. His stomach tightened with disappointment to see his son so aloof and awkward, but he did his best to hide this behind a placid expression. Then the older mare spoke to him, and his eyes returned to her. He side-stepped to give Taika and his son some room, and to break the group into two smaller ones. Taytim spoke of a mare then, and Orhan furrowed his brow, wondering who she meant. "A mare? From here? Did she give you her name?"
He was pondering who, out of his small herd, might have wandered onto the crossing when the dark little mare continued. The near-black storm clouds at her back made her seem almost comically ominous.
"You aren't rude, don't worry. You say you're Taika's mother? You have quite the little adventurer on your hands. Where on the crossing do you live?" His honey-brown eyes searched her inquisitively.
