There had been some guilt in her proposal, or rather, her declaration. It felt wrong to make such a promise when she hadn't the intention to even remain in Glorall despite her family ties. Still, Alana had been a blessing in that sense. It gave her more purpose, and yet, it gave her more purpose to abandon the shores in hopes of finding something more. She smiled weakly at the prospect of seeing them again; she had hope, of course, of seeing her parents but she had lost the hope of her siblings returning some time ago. Besides, she had her younger siblings still at least, and they were much easier to find despite Judas' departure. As for her mother and father... well, she knew they would be okay despite anything and yet, she did not think her father would return to Glorall. He had lost it, after all, and it had not been a graceful loss. To him, it had been the ultimate humilition. She had seen the way he had hobbled and even in her inexperience, she knew it was the kind of injury that did a disservice for life. Still, the sentiment was kind. "You would not be taking me," she had to be sure to let Alana know that, for if there was anything she had been fast to learn, it was that the female was not the most confident or sturdy of wolves. She had something akin to guilt, or at least some inclination to fret over things that did not require fretting. Still, Cersei felt awkward admitting it. "My mate and I have meant to leave for some time. We... agree with you, I think. The soil might be home but the company is not." The truth, at least, tasted good. It felt relieving to say such things, even if she had hushed her voice somewhat in quiet fear that ears had turned towards them. She knew Eden had his ways of knowing and though she admitted it was... smart, she supposed, it did nothing to quell that concern. To her, it was just another unknown. How would he take the departure of Tesseract's daughter? As a threat, perhaps? She squashed the thought, now perked up somewhat as she grinned towards Alana, her eyes alight with some kind of hope. She had an idea, and she had no doubt Sinclair would appreciate it. He'd always liked helping, after all. "Perhaps we can find them together," she suggested, her tail having given several cheerful waves at the idea, "and in the mean time, perhaps we can all find somewhere that feels right." She did not know how Alana would take it. After all, they had never been close and yet, she liked the idea of keeping her father alive in that sense and... maybe even making a friend. |
