Samus spoke and the grin continued to creep broader over Pine’s face. She clearly was not like the other youth she had met on her wandering around the common lands. This other girl was fun, and playful. They clearly spoke the same language! Her white tipped tail was going wild behind her, eyes shining with her excitement of finding a kindred spirit, even though it was so far from home. Who knew sneaking out of the den would have led her to this! She was even more comforted to know her new friend was not a princess. She did not think she could suffer through having to have ‘manners’ when there was fun to be had. It simply took too much effort and too much joy out of the adventures they could be having.

Good! If you are not a princess I can do this! No other warning at all the multi-hued girl launched herself at Samus, her mouth wide and tongue rolled out to it’s furthest extent. Instead of biting and nipping at her friend she instead slobbered her tongue all over the masked face before leaping away and loping a few strides to take herself out of range of instant retaliation. Spinning on her paws, she crouched, facing Samus, her smile still overpowering her face and body.

I would love to see Spirane! Fueled by energy and excitement, she hopped to the side, eyes still watching Samus for any form of revenge while she waited for her to show her the way. Secretly, in her heart of hearts, she was thankful she could explore with a guide. She still feared getting lost and not being able to find her way home.
