Once this place used to hold the yin and yang scenery of Blossom Field. Now, there are miles of winding tundra. To the north, this tundra is cruel and dry, with wisping weaves of tall grasses. The ground is cracked and cold, and it hardly is ever moistened by dearly desired rainfall. To the south, the tundra becomes more prosperous - meadows of flowers and herbs grace the ground. Part of this connects near Elebeam Weargtreow - however it is an impassible field of poppy, which will put any wolf trying to cross it into a deep slumber, and eventually die.

Those looking to hunt here will find mice, snakes, and rabbits, along with pronghorns, bison, and javalinas.

can you save my bastard s o u l

The conversation flipped to more timely questions like where he lived and the likes. The response and reaction were a surprise for each uniquely. The smile on Akuji’s façade instantly disappeared, a scowl quickly taking its place. Horizon’s face likewise moved to a more confused look, had he said something yet again to piss off another wolf? It was clear the more he spoke the less pleased Akuji was becoming and so eventually he shut his maw, waiting for rebuttal that might end with his throat more or less ripped out. But instead there was the sound of a deep inhale and exhale, Horizon opened his slit lids seeing a strange smile spreading across his brother’s maw. Well, we could also come to visit you. Myself and my daughter, I mean. I think it would be good for the two of you to meet. The bloody herculean, as he was abnormally large for the breed of kalak, felt like he was being scrutinized. And who is we? He wondered quietly to himself. His thoughts raced a mile a minute as the harsh gaze of his brother scoured his frame looking for what he could only assume to be faults and deformed parts, but Horizon knew that he had none.

The kalak had been lucky, even as a direct process of inbreeding he had come out unscathed save his mismatched pools of ember and chocolate. But even in that case he had been, blessed even that his one ember pools looked muddy in most lights. One pools belonged to his mother and the other was an exact copy of Farant’s. It had been disturbing to see himself as Farant for some years. He’d never been close his sire, due to the bastard title attached to his name. He was never really called his name anyways, most would just casually call him, ‘Farant’s bastard’. Horizon had to wonder whether the nickname was more bothersome to Farant or himself. But the sound of Akuji’s voice brought him back to reality, and it didn’t take long for it to come crashing down on his head. I think you should be betrothed to Shasta. Does that sound good to you? She is an adult, already, I'm not trying to pawn you off on any sketchy relationship with a pup. She is young still, but I've decided you are perfect for her. And, most importantly, you will forever protect her from Farant. Horizon stood up defiantly, a snarl breaking across his façade. I will do no such thing Akuji. Your daughter is inclined to mate with whom she chooses! I will not fight you in meeting her, but I will not force myself on her. She will decide that for herself.

Whatever little trust that had formed between Horizon and Akuji was about to come crashing down on him. The next motion to the bastard was to stay and talk a while, not jump to betrothal! Hell, the brute had never even felt a glimmer of love! How was he even supposed to consider just outright ‘marrying’ a lady he’d never met… Horizon stood there towering over Akuji, the snarl faded into a harsh glare of anger. I understand your desire to protect your daughter, Shasta, and yes I may be the best at protecting because of my knowledge about Farant and the deep hatred I hold for him but I would be able to accomplish nothing towards saving her should she go against every word I say. Akuji, you need to understand that. I will meet Shasta, but in no way shape or form will I take her as a mate unless feelings between us arise and are mutual. He stared hard into Akuji’s pools, Should you accept these words, I will meet Shasta. But if you decline… well I think you’re smart enough to figure it out.
