The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Grey Wind

Pain was radiating through his whole being, taking over his mind as it had done before, clouding his judgement. This was not as bad a situation as the last time he had been injured like this though. Now at least he was safely inside the borders of his own pack with those that he truly trusted. Trust was a hard thing for the brute, there were very few in this world that he actually trusted himself with. Honestly the only one that came to mind was Kershov, which was part of the reason that he was so loyal and true to his king, and why he always would be no matter the alabaster beast may ever ask of him. Random thoughts floated through his mind as he made his way to his den, back to his own private healer. He was now glad more than ever that he had kept Macaria with him and had not let her go or killed her. Honestly he was not sure what he would do with her once he was fully healed, if that ever happened. At this rate it seemed that his limb would never fully heal and that he would just become a useless cripple. What would Keer and Marx think of him if he became a cripple and wasn’t able to fight like he used to be? His skills as a trained warrior was his biggest asset to the pack, and he couldn’t imagine what he would do if he lost that ability.

But if he somehow managed to heal, if Macaria pulled off a miracle, maybe he would have to keep her around. Letting her go was out of the question. He had stolen her from her own pack, one that’s relations were up in air with Abendrot, and had held her here for weeks. There was no going back from that so it would be better if Saw Tooth thought that she ran away or was dead. If they found out, it could be war between the two packs. Little did Grey Wind know that Saw Tooth was no more, but he had been too busy working on healing to pay attention to politics and other packs. His original plan had been to kill her once he had healed, but she was turning out to be fairly useful, and if that was the case was it justifiable to keep her around? And if he was truly honest with himself, was he starting to see her as a companion, or a friend? He did not remember the last time he had had a friend. The closest thing to a friend had been the female who had originally injured him, Aerten. Hell he had even been attracted to her, but after their fight he did not think they would be friends anymore, and besides she had not been seen in months.

The male had not been raised to be cruel and mean as he was now, he had learned those traits as he saw how evil the world was. It was better to not have friends or family than to lose them. Or so he had thought. Having another being in his den brought back memories of his family, family that he thought had been dead for so long. What would happen to him if he actually let someone in and get to know them, to care for them? He knew it wouldn’t be like when he was younger, that kind and just wolf was gone. But maybe, for the right varg, he could be different. Could show a side of him that he had not shown to anyone since he had come to Blossom. The brute was still unsure of what he was going to do when he came into the den, panting and growling at the pain in his limb. As Macaria explained what she needed to do, he was barely able to listen, but stood still for her to begin whatever it was that she needed to do. When a new, sharp pain, went through his form, he instinctively snapped at her, and when she cowered away from him, for the first time he felt bad. Normally he would enjoy her fear, would do what he could to see it on her features again, but not this time. What the hell was wrong with him? He quickly shook his cranium, trying to shake the confusion from his brain.

As Grey Wind settled at the entrance of the den, breaking the silence between them he waited to see what she would say, if anything. His yellow orbs saw her form freeze in the back of the den, and he smirked at her before turning his head towards his limb, beginning to lick it clean from the blood and gore that had clung to his fur. It was not only his own blood, but the blood of the intruders that had foolishly made their way into Abendrot. His audettes perked when he heard her whine, and he saw her form crawl towards him on her belly. He cocked his head at her, confused by what she was doing. This was the first time that she had willingly come near him, and not the opposite as she usually did. A part of him wanted to snap at her, to make her fear him again. But another part of him told him to wait. He could always scare her off again if he wanted. “We could talk. We could get to know each other. I don't really know much about you, or you about it. And I can hunt for you and help you stretch each day to keep your limbs mobile. We can make it work... Though it will be work."

This was not something that had ever crossed his mind. Why would she want to get to know him? He had taken her away from her family and held her against her will, hurting her on a daily basis, making her afraid to leave the den or leave his side. He did not see any harm in it though. Even if she somehow learned something about him that was not something he often shared, what could she do with it? Nothing, there was no way for her to escape, so really was there any harm in humoring her? He didn’t see any harm in it at the moment. The smaller, darker colored femme whined once more as crawled closer to him. If it had been another being Grey Wind knew he would have lashed out of them. She was well into his personal space and he did not tolerate that. So why was he now? He decided to blame his weird behavior on the pain and whatever drugs she had given him. That he would be back to his normal self when he woke up again. The brute’s head whipped to the side though when he felt the cold prick of her nose touching his form, nuzzling into him. All he did was stare at her, yellow orbs widened in shock at her actions as a purr escaped her throat. He knew that he still needed her help, still needed her to help him heal and survive. And he did not want to admit that to anyone else in his pack, so he decided to just go along with her idea. ”Fine.” He huffed out of her, ignoring the touch from her. ”What do you want to know about me then?”

"Fight back,"He snarled.
