With every sentence the pup spoke, Taika became more amused. The danger of the crazed wolf was long put to rest and her mind was now as focused as it could be on Rhett, son of Pan. Kind and understanding, her lips stretched in amusement at his words. It seemed as though the pup had a very active mind, though apparently very innocently closed. Possibly one day he would come to know that things were not always what they seemed to be, and there was more than the black and white of simple definitions. There was a wide world of interpretations that created a world of greys. With a spark of imagination and twists it created the splashes of color. As much as Taika yearned to talk with this pup, see where his point of view came from, she knew he needed to be back with his family sooner rather than later.

Some have a different definition of what makes a home or someone homeless. She smiled, though she was fairly sure he would find flaws in what she was saying. There is also a difference between a gypsy, a loner, and being homeless.

Her cracked eyes studied the golden boy for a while. She could not deny that she was relieved when he mentioned he had family in the Plains he was visiting. It made her a lot more comfortable with the idea of bringing him to the border. So much so that she figured she would not need to alert her Imprint or her friend to the trip. Yes, we can go now.
