I have failed you, and for that I cannot apologize enough. The vagrant named Roman will temporarily assume the throne of Spirane. But if you have ever trusted me, do not lose your faith in me now. He will not reign long, for he is not the thing Alphas are made of. He has sought to destroy something that we built together, for his own personal gain. I care for each and every one of the 70 wolves that make up my pack, and I hope that pack means more to you than the soil it was founded upon. The mountain will always be my physical home, but my heart's home lays within each of you. Thank you all for everything you have given to me by laying your trust in me. The past five years have been the best of my life. Perhaps I could not be the Great Primordial Beast that Boneclaw once was, or the undefeated Northern Star that was Alcide, but I am the Mountainborn and I will not forget that about myself even in the months that lay ahead. I hope that none of you will forget it either.
It is my belief that our allies will prove themselves in this time, and shelter those of you who seek it. We once took in the exodus of Diveen during the abysmal rule of Covet, I have faith that they will do the same for us in our current similar situation. For those who wish to remain closer to home I believe Taviora and Iromar will also welcome our numbers. I also condone the idea of going to Glorall - Eden is a strong and intelligent wolf. That being said, I do not begrudge any wolf who choses to remain; there is no finer soil to live upon than that of the mountain, even in its besmirched state.
I, myself, will be going to Diveen to seek their aide. Those who wish to accompany me may do so, or follow Taliesin who has gone ahead of me.
Until we meet again, keep me in your heart. Listen for my howl. The Blood of the Mountain does not rest quietly.
