News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

With a broken wing she carries her dreams...

Everything was changing and that terrified the young shadow angel. She had heard the call of a challenge for the right to rule the mountain, had hidden herself away in the den with her parents while everyone who called Spirane waited with baited breath for the victor to return. The howl was male, not Daenerys. It had angered her parents, she had seen it in the eyes of her father. Their little family had been through so much, and when they had just found peace was when things were shaken up once more. Lailah had watched as her parents rounded them all together and then told them that they would be moving on, that the mountain was no longer their home. It broke her heart to think about the place she had been born in, the only place she had ever known. When they went to leave, she did not follow, the white angel marked girl seeing the look of her parents' faces as they realized their daughter would not be following them. She almost cried as her father licked her, as she hugged her parents good bye. The second they walked out of view she started bawling, running back to her den before she went chasing after them. She curled up in the place that made her feel safe, warm, happy and cried; now it only felt cold and empty.

Lailah wanted more than anything to follow her parents, to run after them right then and there and follow them to where ever they chose to go. She wanted to be with her siblings, her only friends. They were comfort. They were security, safety. And now they were gone. Truth be told she could have followed them, could have gone with them but something stopped her. Her soul ached in reminder of the promise she had made to Orifel. He needed her here and so she was going to stay. She was going to stay, be brave for him like he believed she could be. Be strong when things got hard, like now, being alone was an incredibly hard thing for the young girl who had a difficult time functioning socially. Her family were her safety net and now they were gone and she was left to walk this tight rope alone.

Only when the tiny white girl has composed herself enough to leave her den does she make her way towards the call that had risen and shaken the mountain to it's very core. Her stomach is twisting into knots as she moves silently along the many paths she has come to know better than the back of her paw. So many times does she almost turn around and run back to her den, too afraid to meet this male, too afraid to interact with anyone. She comes upon the group from above ground, remaining completely unseen and unheard as her dual gaze stares down at them, a few having shown up before her, only one being an original pack member. She moves down slowly and silently, her steps hesitant as her brain and body work against her, trying to turn her back or worse turn her to her parents, but she knows she has to do this. Over and over again she thinks of Orifel and it is the only thing that keeps her moving until she slips into the group like a phantom, surely unheard and unseen until now.

Instantly her body posture shifts to one of submission and shyness. Her tail tucks, her ears flatten, her eyes sink down to the floor as she can hardly even look up. Her social anxiety is through the roof in these moments as she strains to keep her body from shaking in these moments, hold on to some shred of strength. She scurried up to the new alpha, dipping her head respectfully in greeting to this stranger who had taken everything, left her so uncertain about everything. "My name is Lailah," she whispered, her voice so soft and sweet it almost sounded like an angel had spoken, if he was even able to hear her due to how shy she was. With that she scurried by Niviq, hiding herself ever so slightly beside the older female who smelled of home, of normal, not the strangers before her who smelled of uncertainty.
