Learning Life Lessons
Every single obstacle that is put in front of us has some type of lesson behind it, and the decision is
ours to determine whether we learn from them or we do not learn from them. Many people have heard
of the phrase, “That which does not destroy us only makes us stronger”. Well, that phrase can be true or
false, depending on how a person decides to deal with situations that he or she gets himself or herself
involved in.

In my opinion, it is the best choice to stay strong, level-headed, and optimistic in every situation that
we are in. Letting the obstacle get the best of you will not help anybody become a stronger and wiser
than they already are. Allowing problems to physically and mentally take you over will not allow you
learn how you can get past them and learn a valuable lesson from them. You could possibly use that
valuable lesson and apply it to other circumstances that you may get into later on in life. Never go
through something and not get something out of it. You never know how much that past problems that
you have learned from can help you in the future. Nothing is put in front of you that you can’t learn
from.

Never let anything get you down, no matter how much the struggle hurts you. Life is not easy. It was
never meant to be easy for anyone. Nobody has a perfect life. We are not perfect people. We all have
had, have now, and will always have flaws. But, just because we all have flaws does not mean that we
should not try to be the best we possibly can. We all must have the positive mentality to want to strive
to be on top of our obstacles. Believe in yourself and work hard to get a better future for yourself. Yes, it
may be quite a difficult task to do, but it will help you out in a long run.

Each day is a new beginning. Every day is a fresh, brand new start in our lives. We do not have to put
shame on ourselves and we do not have to give up on ourselves and our situations. We have to believe
that everything will be okay at the end of it all. There is a quote by former First Lady of the United
States, Eleanor Roosevelt, that says, “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in
which you really stop to leek fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you can not do.” If
you face the fear and face the situation, you will be able to say that you have lived through the horror ,
and you will be able to use that experience in anything that you will get involved in later on in life , when
more problems come your way. The road to success is a long and rocky one, but in can be driven on.
Always remember this phrase, “That which doesn’t destroy us only make us stronger.”
