Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Perhaps had he been thinking clearly, he would have had the good sense to know Coquette couldn’t have known about Paisley’s distress either. He might have even felt guilty, after all it was he who had drawn them away from their home, who had lusted for adventure. Yet they finally find somewhere new and he hunkers down in a place fraught with bad memories while Coquette had spread her wings and explored. He might even say that she blossoms here, as much if not more than she had back home. The thoughts tickle at the back of his mind, but instead of bringing him pride (as they should) they only serve to exacerbate his frustration at his sister’s snippiness. What was a sign of her own hurting twisted into malice, and Quixote shot her a reproving glare at her heartlessness. Before he could make an acerbic comment in retort, she silenced him with the sound of his own name before demanding he escort her to the beach.

Couldn’t she see that there were more pressing matters at hand right now?

"We don’t have time for that, we—" he doesn’t even get to finish his sentence before she is tearing into him with accusations as if he had been in the wrong! His fur bristled at her petty jealousy, "I didn’t just abandon you, Coquette! I had to—" Again he is cut off, and it’s all he can do NOT to roar out his frustration. The nerve of some people, ripping you away from a life-or-death situation only to act like you’re the petulant child when you get upset about it. It seems this white wolf (Alcmene, apparently, as she introduces herself to Coquette) never intended to entertain any answer from him as she sidles up to his sister and sweeps her away toward the beach.

He might as well not even be there.

He stays back for a moment, reigning in all of his negativity – after all, it’s not like it has been helping him much, has it? Once he is convinced he has more control over himself, he trots after Coquette and her sticky-fingered companion. "Wait, Coquette, …Alcmene. This is all very nice, but could we maybe get a raincheck on this? I don’t mean to undermine your efforts but… but Paisley needs me." The simple effort it takes just to remain (passably) calm and civil is taxing, could they even blame him if they knew what he was going through?
