It seemed Vi really did like this girl. The moment Halcyon mentioned that she may actually have a thing for him, he seemed to brighten up. It was good to see his brother striving for something, even if that something was actually a someone. He sent his gaze up to the sunny sky above and asked Mom and Dad to guide their child as he found himself and found another. They had a love that could not be broken, even in death. It would be good for Viserys to have something so powerful in his life, but it didn’t control him like an imprint bond. Another pang in his heart and he stopped that thought dead in its tracks.

The moment of peace was stolen as they watched the dramatic attack of the stick in the water. Luckily, the older male knew to listen to his younger sibling and together they moved to safety away from any deep water. It seemed Viserys had been rattled a bit by the dragon and Halcyon chuckled. “Oh, terrifying is putting it nicely. Remind me to tell you about the time I was learning to hunt one of those things and I fell into the water with it!” As the two made themselves comfortable in the clearing, Halcyon waited a moment after his brother promised to keep what he had to say a secret. The guard wolf listened all around them to be absolutely sure they were alone. Then, he turned to the cream wolf and stared him directly in the eyes.

“I’m going to take our home back one day. It won’t be until I am much stronger, probably not for a few more years. But I swear… I am going to fight tooth and claw from what should have been rightfully ours.” It was a bold statement and one that many might laugh at. Given his small size and young age, most wolves would have treated the threat like an empty one. But Halcyon was deadly serious.
