Nakato
eleven ; no mate ; no imprint ; frankenstein of asteraia |
The mother stands her ground even as her legs shake in terror of the horror that lurks above her. Growls and snarls fill the air but none move from where they stand just yet. Nakato had vanished and was replaced by a new wolf who was only driven by instinct. A mother’s love for her cub knew no fear. If she had to, she would die to save the two precious lives that dwelled deep within the den. But, for all her show, she simply did not have the same strength the black prince had. She barely sees him lunge and has no time to dodge out of the way. White daggers flash in the moonlight and grasp her ruff. With unbelievable power, she is dragged away from her den. Blood seeps from her wound and still he does not let go. Even as she yelps and snarls, snapping in vain at his face, he does not let go. With a mighty toss, Tobias releases her and she is sent sprawling to the ground. The bite is painful, but not life threatening. Nakato is able to stand again, but is soon knocked back down as he roars and snaps his bloody fangs inches from her face. She knew it was no use. There was no way she could outmatch the raw power of the alpha male and the druid does not get up a second time. Agony weeps from her back and every muscle in her body shivers from both fear and adrenaline. Those fangs were going to end the lives of her children this night and she was powerless to stop them. He moves back to the den and all she can do is watch, growling and whimpering at the same time. Only when he has disappeared does she dare rise again. Whining at the hot pain, Nakato slowly moves back towards her den with her ears held forward and eyes never leaving the entrance. Heart hammered in her chest so loudly it was like thunder in her ears. Part of her wanted to run to Tick Tock. Surely the Monster could stop her… monster! But even as the thought left her mind she felt hopelessness seep in as she realized no one could stop Tobias. With a heavy heart she waited. So far, no sounds came from the den but that didn’t mean anything… |
