News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

He still has not found a den. It is not a situation he can claim he is proud of, but something did not sit right with finding something too far, as well as did not seem right to find something too close. It was clear some still held reservations about his person, so it would have been wrong to take up any bed that might infringe on their privacy or the normalcy they had once possessed under Daenerys. He wonders often why he feels so strongly about preserving their sensibilities when others might have only tanked over them in their drive to build. He did not want victims. He had not ever intended for victims to be made, regardless of who had won. He would not have been one, at least. His loss would have been proof enough that Daenerys had been right and he would need to build his strength to try again, or to carve out another home for himself. Regardless, it would have been simply living life, fate ever fickle about who she favored.

He had chosen, for now, to lay in a small clear outcropping where he had spoken to Pan. It gave him a good vantage point to survey his pack, but also kept him at a distance from the homes where his packmates slept. He expected to be called upon, and often, but what he does not expect is who it was that would do so. Lailah, he notes, has seemingly come to find him, tucked into underbrush as he is - he barely noticed her crawling and skittering and ducking in and out of the environment, had the wind not been in his favor and her color so very bright. He wonders at her motives, his left ear twitching backwards as he watches her come to the flat outcropping. How should he proceed, he wonders, when she is so very timid and frightened. He was no small creature, after all, and yet hardly could tell what might assuage all this tension in her.

He pondered even pretending to sleep talk, start mumbling in reply… or perhaps rolling silly-like onto his back and wriggling to get that scratch he couldn’t reach. Some nonsensical thing that might make him seem less of a monster to her. Instead, he puts his butt into the air, his right side on the ground (making note that his hip was not so happy about this) and … slid.

Like some kind of quad-colored wolf-bear with a scratchy shoulder, he pushes himself out just far enough from the bushes as to see her, pretend to look abashed, and then drop his butt back down to lay on the earth more … “appropriately”, since nobility was far beyond him after the initial antics. He clears his throat with the proper amount of “oh, man, forget you saw that” in his eyes and then yawned with a long-lolled tongue for good measure. “I did not know you were there, ahem,” he feigns perfectly an attempt at apologetic nobility from his jester’s place still on the ground. If she wanted to flatten, he could flatten as best as he could too. “Though, I can’t say you get much of a view from down here like this… and the mountains are fair pretty in the morning....”
