News 08.08.2021 Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

So that you wish to stay, it is equally my wish that you would never be made to leave.� Then he broaches the irritant of his initial impression from the golden wolf with black eyes, and frankly the response Pan gives is adequate enough that the ruffled feathers are metaphorically smoothed out again, for the most part. �I understand now, I am sorry that I find myself defensive to that extent. Do not worry, I will endeavor not to presume arrogance over word choice if I can. Thank you for understanding.�

It is my time spent as a loner with only myself at risk that makes me consider the threat to be to myself. It makes me not consider that anyone would have ill intent meant for anyone but myself in this situation -- being that I am the only one to have so greatly upset the balance of living here.�

An invitation alone offers the chance for acceptation or rejection and in that manner you may glean an early insight into who you may deal with in time, yet you, I do not feel, have properly appreciated pack security in this instance.� He nods, also because he has addressed that matter as well - and does not expand on that addressing. Then there is mention again of folly and risk and gambles, and again he is nodding. �I do understand that the gamble was not an entirely wise one in the manner of an Alpha - and this is again another reason I would like to take what advice I can get from someone as aware of this world as you are. As for not seeing that they might want me to fall -- do you think I did not hear the venom in Daenerys�s farewell to her home? She speaks as though she knows who or what I am beyond the one who bested her in combat. Her ire over her loss was plain to me, and while I do not understand her claim to love these mountains and her taking such a flamboyant leave of them-- I can assure you, I can understand a threat to my person when I hear it.�

Then they move along and he feels relieved to be able to speak out, to be able to articulate what he thinks and to hear opinions that are unadulterated by the many hateful minds that surround the mountains now. Pan is wise and generally unbiased. He speaks on what he has accomplished by this gathering, and then listens as Pan takes his turn in interruption again. �I will keep all these things about the alphas from Taviora and Asteraia in mind as we proceed.� He nods again, eyes recognizing as the silver woman begins her dance and he is able to take a moment while Pan expresses his gladness for Roman�s apology.

�Show what you mean to show and only that- if you understand. When your enemies can see all that you are it is easy for them to take what they want. We will practice. I will help you.� He listens and nods with a muttered thanks again for the promise of help, writing off the fact that Pan believed him to be the daft sort of transparent due to the manner of his little upset of the way things seemed to have been run before. � Do not for a moment allow yourself to believe that all wolves like the gypsies, another folly I think, not all view them with kindness, remember that- this is formulated from many opinions too. They may be your friends and this is good, but others do not view them with friendship- you see a friendly gathering of wolves, pleasant wolves, others see leeches who would bleed a pack land of its resources, its secrets and flee back to the wilds.� Pan rebuts and it is here that Roman looks pointedly at Pan.

�Understand me, I do hear you, but we have come across numerous times where you have taken my short time here and assumed things as per a limited knowledge of myself. I do not trust easily, for all that I prefer transparency. I do not believe the good in people before I believe that all mortal life is flawed. I opened the borders to invite in those who might see opportunity to seek a home, to those who wanted to see that I have not reduced the mountains to rubble, that Daenerys - or whatever else she deems to call herself - leaving did not actually destroy this pack, and to allow those who wanted to see me to do so under the neutrality that comes from gypsies being gypsies. That there were flaws in this does not mean I am not aware that it puts me in danger -- nor that I am somehow trusting of every gypsy to join Taika�s band.� He nods, feeling sure he made himself clear. One mistake did not make him naive or foolish. It meant he was learning. �But if it makes the wolves who have called this pack home for longer than myself more comfortable, I will speak to Taika and establish a treaty where it is clear where their boundaries inside Spirane will be - without removing the friendship from my former family, which I will refuse, most stubbornly, to do.�

�You had enough to say, you are not hopeless. Where will we travel to first?�

�I think the most favorable answer to the invitations came from Taviora and Iromar-- and those two are also our nearest neighbors. I understand they held Daenerys in a higher regard as well, but it is best to test those waters above all else. What would you propose I do in these cases? Do I take yourself and Tithe, who has been earning his rank back as you already have in my eyes, to these places and allow you to advise me on how to deal with them? It seems it might be seen as haughty to not go myself to these first dealings.�

Abhorsen - The Wielder: Alpha female and Queen of Spirane. Her word is final in all matters. Vows to protect and lead those who call the mountain home.

Her Council
Belgaer - The Thinker: Second in Command, this wolf is the Abhorsen's most trusted compatriot and confidant. In the Abhorsen's absence, they are able to speak with her authority.
Saraneth - The Binder: Chosen mate of the Abhorsen. They can settle pack disputes, accept members, assign tasks, and leads the pack during hunts, in times of war, or in cases where the Abhorsen is not present.
Scion - The Successor: The Abhorsen's heir, training to one day fill her paw prints. This wolf must become adept in multiple trades. This wolf is expected to become proficient in healing, fighting, hunting, diplomacy, and thievery. They are expected to lend assistance to any of the other ranks if ever needed.

The Bells
Dyrim - The Speaker: Lead diplomat and is often times sent out to maintain good relations with allied packs. Charged with educating the Ambassadors in diplomatic ways.
Astarael - The Weeper: The commander and lead warrior of the pack. Charged with teaching the Berserkers the art of battle.
Clayr - The Seer: Charged with the pack's health, and in teaching the Shiners and those who wish to pursue the art of healing.
Kibeth - The Walker: The leader of the Guard. They are the foremost line of defense, charged with securing the borders and bringing pertinent information from within and without the pack to the appropriate wolf. They also lead the Outriders.
Ranna - The Sleeper: Assists the queen in guarding from theft as well as advising her of news and gossip from the whole of Moladion. Charged with teaching the Mages about theft, secret keeping, and overall sneakiness. Allowed to make and block steals.
Mosrael - The Waker: Caretaker and storyteller of the pack, also the head pupsitter. Often times this wolf will look after the pack's youth and educate them of Spirane and Moladion's history. Leads the Remembrancers in pup watching.
Charter - The Power: The master hunter of the pack. Leads and organizes all hunts and teaches the Falconers the art of the hunt.

The Classes
Berserkers: Warriors and hunters of the pack.
Falconers: The pack hunters
Mages: Thieves and secret keepers of the pack. Allowed to make and block steals.
Ambassadors: Diplomats of the pack.
Shiners: Healers of the pack.
Outriders: The pack scouts who bring all news of happenings across Moladion back.
Remembrancers: Wolves of a kind nature who look after the younger wolves of the pack. These wolves may wish to learn more about healing, but this is not a requirement.
Bairns: The young pups of the pack
Amateurs: Youth of the pack still finding their place

Kinfolk: The general populance of the pack
Elders: Respected retirees who still offer wisdom and insight
