Morrigan raised an eyebrow at the female as she burst out of the den all huffing and puffing like a big bison bull, and her tail gave a few half-amused, half-annoyed flicks. "I don't know," She said, returning the stranger's glare with one of her own, "Sorting herbs? Healer-type things, or something." She rolled her eyes and dropped the subject then. How was she to know that a wolf would be sleeping in midday? She, of course, caught the glint of amusement in the female's eyes, being as perceptive as she was, but she put little stock in it. They were, after all, a little at-odds at the moment, and the assassin truly hadn't expected her encounter with a healer- who still hadn't given her name- to go this way at all. She had expected maybe one of the shy types, or the overly friendly types, or maybe even brusque, but not the rip-your-throat-out type.
"Hah!" She exclaimed with her characteristic wild grin. "I'm pretty confident in my own abilities. Trained killer, and all." Her eyes glinted, taunting as the woman's words had been. Although the encounter was not what she had expected she was still enjoying their back-and-forth, it had been a while since she had been able to exercise her sharp tongue. With a small smirk she tilted her head as the stranger seemed surprised by her offer, then retorted back with the fact that she wanted to be top healer in the pack.
"That, I can't guarantee. But if you talk to Roman I'm sure he would be able to work something out with you." Morrigan said. "The more the merrier, really." In a way it was hard to believe that a wolf like this could have a mate, but perhaps he was just as ornery as her. Birds of a feather flock together, she supposed. "The alpha himself will be there to greet you, rest assured." She said with a smirk, turning around and looking back at the female. "I'll see you in Spirane." |
