Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

A SLEEPLESS malice as black as the oncoming wall of night
So it ever was. So will it always be. Such is the nature of evil.

There is something to be said about the bravery of Sidriel for she does not flinch from his approach. She does not cower or cry out in fear, she remains stalwart as he leans down to lick her. Once more she does not show idiocy. She knows, in the subtle way of body language, that his touch was not a intimate one meant to comfort but to prove his dominance. So that she would remember, always, the touch of his tongue to her crown and the way that she had walked away from beneath his fangs without pain. It could change at any given moment, but for now she had shown worth. It was strangely satisfying to have her be this way, to know that not all young were foolish and hopeful. Parents needed to learn better care, he thinks, and Sidriel was a strong child. Not like the pups he had killed in Glorall who stank of rotting flesh and sickness - their lives had been a blight on the world. He thinks it is because she must be related to his Paravana, his strong acolyte.

His ears flick forward at her question and suddenly his lips twitch into a satisfied smile, his attention seeming to focus inward. The god within him burns approvingly, stroking down the chest of Underidge, his rib cage expanding on a deep breath. "If you have what it takes," he answers cryptically, but he thought maybe she did. It she would just understand what he was saying then there was a chance. The idea is one that excites him for it was a temptation to prove that Paravana was his but it was also one that invoked jealousy. For so long he had housed the Shade - to share him was a hard thing to do but it was inevitable.

"Yes," he answers, his voice sibilant as he leans his head down now so that their noses practically touch, his silver eyes staring into hers. "They are a blight on the world. To finish them is our calling. Is it yours, girl? Do you offer yourself in service of the Shade, to never reveal the secrets he and I share with you, to learn what it is to take care of this earth?" His breath spills across her face, his attention rapt, for this was the defining moment.
