Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

holding on to what we used to be

My comment regarding my brother earns me a hearty laugh from Luk and I can't help but smile. Not that I would tell him or anyone else, but he's very nearly the first male close to my age I've interacted with; Taika would definitely be at the top of a very short, all-girl (obviously), list. He beckons with a toss of his head, explaining our eventual destination to be an island named after a great healer. It sounds like I'm going to be given a bit of a tour! Nobody really showed Quixote or I around, just guarded us, made sure we didn't leave. I haven't figured out precisely why my brother and I were taken as prisoners of the Beach pack…, but I'm not complaining so much. I giggle to myself rudely, You sound so much like Quixote when we were younger you know? I don't think the salt will be a problem. I couldn't put a finger on it, but something about this boy struck me as off. Perhaps it was just nerves.

As he led me around the beach toward Riopat Island my curiosity came to a head- too many unanswered questions. I'm not used to unanswered questions. So, Luk…? A million questions run through my head at once, far too many to know the answer to and far too many to ask now - pick one! What brought you to Dawnlust's crazy blind date experiment? If you don't mind my asking. I look away, embarrassed at myself for asking such a silly question. Soon we are welcomed by the sight of a narrow straight with a sizable island not too far out - Riopat, I presume. My tail beats against the damp soil eagerly, waiting to follow Luk into the cerulean water.
