February Weather Swings IP: 139.127.253.7 Posted on February 2, 2016 at 00:38:11 AM by T
We start February off on the mild side. We should be well into the 50's on
Wednesday. By then most of the residual snow will be gone off the ground.
We do cool for the end of the week with some lake effect snow around.
But most of the snow should be toward the Tug Hill.
Fairly quiet until mid to late next week. Our weather pattern is going to
change into a colder and more unsettled pattern. The jet stream is going
to punch north of Alaska into the north pole. And then slide right
down over the eastern US. (See images at the top of the page) I'm not
expecting bone chilling cold like last February. But with the active
southern jet stream, we will have a great set up at developing Nor'Easters
along the east coast. There will be a couple of chances of getting a strong
storm to develop and come up the coast.
Then by the 3rd week of the month, we may moderate and turn more
above normal with temperatures. It will be interesting to see what
happens the next few weeks! Replies: There have been no replies.
