The brute was still quiet, even while he replied politely Amoxtli knew it was simply his personality to be formal thus far. It was the soft hushed that sounded edged in regret that caught his attention though. His two ears keeping alert of all the sounds and scents around him as he asked if they would stay for longer. He gave the two children’s names then informed of their mother’s passing. A frown set upon his muzzle at the news, it seemed this year deaths from birthings had come at an all time high. This was not the first he had heard, Shiloh already was nursing the child of Kaliska who also seemingly had slipped into the void after giving birth. His sister was raising her, but with no pups of her own this spring she was unable to provide all the girl needed, so Shiloh aided with that part of her rearing until she was weaned. These pups looked a bit older, but perhaps they still needed a mother too…

”Of course that is fine. They are more than welcome here, though I didn’t know you had…. participated this winter.” He said the last bit awkwardly. It was hard to put it in a way that sounded good but at the same time he had thought before that maybe he had done something, just not with the mother of the two pups he has now. He never asked, mostly because he didn’t really wish to think his Sage would go gallivanting about in such a manner. He wanted to think his Sage would know better than to impregnant females and then leave them to deal with the consequences. He had thought as such with Paisley, that was until he saw Quixote around him all the time and then began to think otherwise. Still he wasn’t sure, but Amoxtli wanted to believe that these were his only two children.

”My children are fine, just… unruly… well one of them is, the other is as peaceful as a butterfly. “ He mused thinking about his two twin sons, shaking his head thinking about Tepi’s wildness and Teza calm. They were about as opposite as one could get in personality despite looking almost exactly the same. It only made things more confusing when you didn’t notice one doing something and the other doing something else and you yell not knowing which was which. ”I think that every day. Least yours are different looking.” Amoxtli said with a chuckle. ”It’s not easy, even with a mother. You should think about having Mikken or Namira help when you can. My sister Zeltzin would also be more than willing to give you pointers on being a single parent and help you when she can. Whatever it is that happens we won’t let you do it alone, you are part of our family after all and we take care of our own here.” Amoxtli assures him giving him a smile. He hopes that Fritjof understands and hopes that he will accept the help that the pack will give him.

The pack is based around taking care of itself and protecting and aiding those within. Everything set up from puppy care givers to hunters, healers, and even the diplomats like him see to it that they have alliances to keep the pack free from conflict with others. It would be okay Amoxtli wanted to assure him, no matter how unclear the path is before him he wouldn’t be alone in his venture.
