It is with quick sucession that I am out looking for my next target. I had been thinking about him for a while, after all he belongs with us even if he has walked away once. Perhaps growing up alone will have changed his mind, found what was important in his life. I don’t know, I don’t care he is simply another plaything for me to bring in to meet my ends. I am sure he belongs within Asteraia. There is plenty for him to achieve within our ranks . He can be a warrior like his littermate, a hunter like his ageing father or perhaps more. I am not sure of his talents only having seen the boy at a glance when he was pup still needing his mother’s breast. That felt like a whole life time ago now but it was time for little Rapier to come home.

I find him out and alone in the wilds. It wasn’t long after I start our game. Luring him best I can to our borders, chasing him leading him until finally we wait amongst our borders. Stealing was so much fun, I enjoyed being snapped at, growled. I enjoy the fight without fighting. Its all a game to me a good game and I hope to continue to do it for years to come for the monster and her successors. I pause once we are in the border giving the boy a knowing grin before letting out a howl for his father or brother, both if they wanted to come.

”Welcome home child, I hope you don’t mind a family reunion. I am sure they missed you. So you should enjoy your stay, we just had a hunt so there is plenty of food to go around.” I say my tail giving a few waves. He is still smaller than me, but not as small as Balor was when I took him away and he had stayed with us. Sadly his mother is passed now but he can still do what he desires I think and stay with us and prove to her how he’s not weak and can do more. Perhaps Rapier can find some purpose here too other than wandering around like some lazy vagabond. What good was he doing out there anyway.

So what will he do now? That’s up to him. Of course he doesn’t have to stay but I am happy to keep him around for the time he needs to stay to figure it out. My work here will be done though shortly after Eric or whatever other family of Rapier arrives, perhaps they can convince him to stay.
