In the shadows of two of the tallest peaks in the mountain range, rests the land known as the Forbidden Dale. The forested path that winds down out of the mountains is steep and treacherous to those who do not know it's dangers. The mountains meld into rolling foothills - filled with broad gentle slopes, long narrow ridges, and miniature valleys. Vegetation of all sorts is abundant and the runoff of all the surrounding hills funnels into a long, narrow lake in one of the largest valleys. Beyond the undulating and green foothills resides a dark and deep forest; the trees are so dense that it is dim even in the light of day.

Local News
July 10th - Melia and Rhaego are now co-owning the Dale after Melia has successfully defended their home in the Summit.
April 5th - Updated herd list. If you see something wrong or changes to be made, please let me know.
September 8th - The Dale has become a part of Beyond the Mountains. The geographical location has not changed in relation to Mist Meadows, but Rhaego will begin focusing his attentions on these new lands being discovered and less on Mist Meadows. The herd list has been cleared, but I will add back any herd members who rejoin here on Beyond.
July 9th - Updated the board. Rhaego has an open post in the lake for this breeding season for anyone interested. Also welcome Bastille whom will be serving the Dale in return for a home for himself, Larka, and their daughter Valerian. Rhaego is actively working to return Aileen back to the Dale.
December 7th - After unintentionally forfeiting his land about a year ago, Rhaego has gotten him land back! He will be working on re-establishing himself and the herd that he had. There's a little adjusting to do but Rhaego is back and more determined than ever!
July 23rd - ACTIVITY CHECK! Just need to confirm who is in the herd and who is not, as well as the names of any foals born recently. Please respond before August 7th with the names of your characters who live here. Thank ya much!
April 12th - With the warmer months and the growing season, Rhaego is focused on growing the herd and his bloodline. Foals are on the way - but they are not all Rhaego's.... wait, how'd that happen?
January 24th - Rhaego has won the battle by default!
January 13th - The Dale has been challenged for by a mare named, Apache. Rhaego has of course accepted and the battle is taking place now.
November 16th - Rhaego has proclaimed his claim over the territory formerly owned by Reaper. The territory will become known as the Forbidden Dale.

and let me watch you tear the world asunder
side by side we'l fight tonight

The itching, nagging feeling was still half-risen inside of her.

Perhaps it never wasn't, maybe there were just good days and bad days. Good days and bad days where you just couldn't hide it anymore, and where nothing could be done to take one's mind away the the abyss that was madness inside the confinement of a body. No matter how hard you fought, you couldn't fight hard enough when those days came, when it made its presence more known whether it be because of your mood or whatever else the reason was. It was no surprise you couldn't fight hard enough, the madness was a part of you, it was you after all. If it was anything else you could be sure that Blood Pirate wouldn't have given up fighting, not past her last breath but of course, the madness was her and she barely wanted to get rid of it. She wanted it there, she just didn't want it to be her and only her, if that even made sense. Sometimes things just didn't make sense anymore. Sometimes things just didn't quite click.

Click... She did a half grin, a lopsided, almost Cheshire grin if not for the odd look in her eyes, vaguely distant yet all at the same time ever present, always scanning, on edge. Yes click... That was such an odd word, she mused in her mind. Click, click, click, click, she can hear the clicking of hooves on rock someone far away from this. There were no clicky rocks here. Click, click, click, she can imagine something slam into place with each click, the pearly whites of her teeth into the flesh of another, maybe it's place, aside from its obvious place in her gums. Click for the almost mechanical way her brain felt sometimes, so out of it, devoid of any emotion. And one less click for the things that never clicked, the loss bolts in her head. She smiled again.

And like that she snaps out of it, as if a dream had been broken. Talking about dreams, she had been going through a few of those recently, hadn't she? These things were becoming more common place, but they had been like this many times before. It was almost a cycle, perhaps more aptly described as a wavelength of sorts. The madness came, the madness retreated. It would always be back to see hello.

She wonders how much longer this leader was going to take. She wanted to meet him, to know all the rest too. Knowledge was power, after all. She scans her surrounds, more out of boredom than anything, after all she knows there's no way he could have crept up on her, she would have smelt him so there was no real point checking. She raises her head slightly, cocking it to the right as she looks upon the backdrop. It wasn't really too much different from Fog Valley, when you thought of it.

She smells a undoubtably masculine scent draw closer, and soon she can spot the bay dun within sight. He was a stocky horse, a hardy, well muscled male, just how she liked it. But she couldn't care much for him, not in her mood anyways. And it seems he's in a mood too, he can see the angry panting, the burning in his eyes. Humph, she guessed he had a half valid reason for not wanting horses to wander onto his land.

"Who breaches... My borders... Without call? his voice was like anything else about him, low and grungy, harsh and scraping. It was a nice voice, she guessed.

"Blood Pirate. I am here because I am interested in meeting the King's of these lands. I am from Fog Valley." eyes bore into the King, she evaluates him, constantly looking for any signs of movement, just like she was trained to do from day one.

Trained to fight.
