Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

her story...

It was curious how Octavia had always been so interested in the tiny blue butterflies that seemed to come around at this time of year. She would find herself in the middle of a field gazing at them and chasing them but she would never harm them. Their flapping wings were enough to make Octavia envious as she had spent most of her life trapped behind a dense forest and away from any kind of society. Flying away would have been her first option but her brother had insisted that wolves could not fly and so she had listened and kept her mind from wandering.

Octavia was much like a child still. She was growing new personalities every day from her newly-found freedom and yet she still felt empty. Her mother had been killed only days before and she and her brother, Bellamy, had fled from their home. On the way to new beginnings and happiness they had been separated, but O used this as an opportunity to explore and finally be away from her brother for a while.

So here she was in all of her glory in the middle of a field prancing about and chasing those tiny blue butterflies. Her only mistake was not watching where she was going or using her senses to keep herself aware of that around her. It was too late for her to notice now as her nose caught scent of salt and the marking of a territory. She stopped dead in her tracks and looked to her left where there was nothing but sand and ocean.

Octavia had royally fucked up.

i'd walk into hell to find you
