Re(2): Hypothetical Question???

Repaving doesn't always equal faster lap times ...

Sandusky's old track record (Russ Wood 14.080 7/25/1998) took 15 years to fall (track was repaved before 2003 season)
14.045 Dave Shullick Jr. (#95) 10/11/2014
14.050 Aaron Pierce (#26 AVSS Sprint) 9/28/2013
14.057 Dave Shullick Jr. (#94) 10/12/2013

Of course, that 14.080 in 1998 may have had a lot to do w/ softer tires and some pop (soda) syrup (red pop, orange pop, or coca-cola, depending on who you hear the story from)

From the many videos from car-mounted cameras over the past few years, Oswego looks pretty bumpy ... maybe new pavement smoothing out the surface would help handling and translate to faster speeds.

Anyhow - I know this was just a hypothetical question - when Johnny and Eric took over the track, they asked the drivers and they said to improve the track elsewhere, so the drivers must be happy with it the way that it is.
