It's easy to talk to Malleah, something I haven't felt in a long time with anyone. Since leaving Diveen, I kind of cut myself off from the world and had little to no contact with other wolves. I used to be a rather friendly creature, always out exploring and meeting new wolves but somewhere along the line, that changed. The only wolf I would come out for after a while was Bella. Now that she's gone, I don't know where to go from here. Malleah seems to seek out companionship the same way I find myself wanting to. I just didn't know where to start. It seems it found me anyway. I feel like Malleah and I can become close. Should I be looking for someone to settle down? Probably not until I'm completely over Bella, but there was never anything official there. It was mostly a crush that never got talked about.

There were times when I thought I saw something in Bella's eyes but no one ever talked about feelings. I knew I would do anything I could for her just the same as she jumped in between Stella and I to defend me. Malleah brings out the protector inside of me. She makes me want to follow her around and keep her from harm all the time. I already want her daughter protected and I haven't even met her yet. I hope that I get to though.

She finally says she won't turn down a free meal and I smile. "Then it's settled." She tells me she'll meet me in the grotto, that she has to check on her daughter and she even gives me a name. Myrria. "That's a pretty name." I tell her. She looks me over then says thanks and I grin. "You're always welcome, Malleah. For what it's worth, I'm glad we met." She steps toward me and my ears prick forward, wondering what's going to happen next. But then she stops and tells me it means a lot and I nod. Before I know it, her tongue is caressing my cheek and I close my eyes to the sensation. I don't think I've been licked since Natalya would clean me and lick me affectionately as a pup. Then she turns and takes off and I watch, my tail wagging as I whisper. "You too." With a soft sigh, I turn and trot off, looking for something worth bringing to her and her daughter. It's gotta be something good.
