Her life had been flipped upside-down, it seemed. Spirane had been taken over by some wolf named Roman and Aunty Dany had left for Diveen. Her mother, for whatever reason, had decided to stay, and Samus couldn't leave her. Besides that, where would she go? Her whole family was staying within the mountains, and she cared too much for them to leave and find her own way. She was sure that one day she would grow to respect this Roman as she respected Daenerys. Perhaps in time he would prove himself to be a good alpha, but Samus wasn't sure if she trusted him yet. Aside from that, she had never gotten to train with Sleekwing and rise through the ranks. She was young but she had ambition.

Today, however, was not the day for thinking about such things. Word was her friend Pine was hosting a party, and she had been specially invited to attend. And so Samus had set out from Spirane, heading down the mountain and through the foothills, towards Iromar, a place that she had never visited. But Pine was a good friend, and they had had quite the adventure in the mountains when she had found Pine bounding across the border.

She moved through the swamps, looking around curiously and noting how different it was from her home. Samus followed the scent of Pine towards a den, where there were already a couple of wolves gathered. One that appeared to be a little older and one a little younger. She trotted up towards Pine and greeted her with a hearty nudge on the shoulder. "I'm Samus!" She introduced, puffing out her chest. "Yeah, they should come out and play too!" She growled playfully and dropped down into a play bow, inviting any of the other pups to come and tussle.
