She had to admit, there was something charming about the child, or at least the idea of educating her. It seemed important to do so even if Starshade had not been requested to do so by either the girl's parent or the alpha. It seemed that many wolves in Moladion discredited the pack's role in teaching their young and so, she had forgotten how fulfilling it could be to make some impact in the direction of a child's skills. It had been something she had easily dismissed in her younger years and yet, now she had begun to realize the importance of it. After all, the child had not yet been taught that much about the outside world it seemed. Of course, she would not have faulted any mother for keeping their children secure in a den for some time - Starshade had never been a mother, after all, and so she could not pass judgement in that regard. Even if she had been a mother, it felt wrong to question one's behavior too deeply. It was easier to simply accept it and adapt to it. "Yes, you will be able to show her all the new things you're about to learn!" She chimed in with a light voice, doing her best to mimic the child's ecstatic nature as she lead her onward. It felt a little awkward and yet, it seemed only right to match the girl's excitement. Children liked that kind of thing and it'd do well in keeping her entertained. Besides, Starshade had been able to learn a little more about Asteraia's condition in that way. Jakuta had a sibling, a sister, and yet Starshade could not discern another child's scent in the area. Perhaps the other had yet to leave the den? It made her raise a brow at Jakuta as she bounded along - apparently, the girl had been even naughtier than first assumed. They had come to their position quickly and now, she only had to keep the child entertained for some time before taking her back to the den in which she had come from. Even if her mother had not returned by then, hopefully Jakuta would be tired enough to retire for the day and stay put in doing so. She had to suppress a quiet laughter when the girl made her tumble. Of course, she had been quick to lean in and check for any wounds - the girl seemed fine, though. In fact, she perked up instantly and chided the insects above. Starshade tailed the butterflies above, watching as they fluttered away before she lowered herself to Jakuta's level with a hmm. "Well, they are very picky," she hadn't the heart to explain the violence of their own kind yet and just how terrifying their teeth and bodies could be to others. Instead, she had decided on a more... enticing route, she supposed. "I think you just need to practice though. If you get quicker and stronger, they'll see that and want to play with you!" She raised her brows at the child, waiting for the child's response before she ducked down into a play bow. "How about I train you right now? I think you have the potential to be the best." |
